What if Rugrats was focused on the adults

What if we were in an alternative universe, in which Rugrats was not a Nickelodeon show, but it was a prime time network show that focused on the adult characters, we didn't focus on the babies, we didn't care about their thoughts, they are more props to set up the premise of couples that live in this neighborhood raising families.

The few episodes that focused on the adult like "Angelica Brakes Her Leg" were awesome. Always loved Jack Riley from his work on the Bob Newhart Show and other classic shows like Diff'rent Strokes. And lately I have been watching a lot of Fridays, Melanie Chartoff is not bad either. So them carrying a show even in animation would be fine.

I was thinking Yes Dear, but that is a good comparison, the kids are merely props or background characters.

Because we won't see the activities of the babies, the fact that the parents constantly lose them will make them look even worse.

Have you see Fox Sunday Night lineup, how many of those animated shows that are about families have good parents?

For Rugrats, someone actually made a recut trailer to make it a sitcom about Drew, dealing with his precocious daughter and wacky brother. That might have some legs.
