After the Brian Burns trade value disaster, we needed to keep Derrick Brown around.

DeForest Buckner, who has just a year left on his deal, tweeted out a comment about how DTs are getting paid insane amounts. Considering that Danielle Hunter let it be known that the Colts offered him more money than the Texans did but he opted to turn them down, Buckner knows that Ballard is willing to pay top dollar for older pass rushers and will expect quite the windfall coming his way. I ’m guessing he can expect an extension after the draft is over and it will be quite sizable. Well, unless they need to restructure the last year on his deal in order to sign an outside free agent like Justin Justin Simmons. Maybe a reunion with Gilmore could be arranged . After all, his trade last year to Dallas was actually done as a favor to Gilly and wasn’t even a fair market value deal for the Colts. Now that the team looks like it can be a potential contender again, he might like to come back.

There's some sort of curse on the Kansas City Chiefs having a good wide receiver since Tyreek left... what a complete f***ing moron.

Wonder if Andy Reid has any magic to use on this situation or if he used it all on his son.

The man handicapped a child for life but because his dad wins superbowls for the state the governor just hand waves that to house arrest SMH.

He's not likely to go to jail.. Rice, 23, now faces eight charges in the case -- six counts of collision involving bodily injury, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury and one count of aggravated assault, according to the arrest warrant. All of the charges are felonies. Collision involving injury carries a penalty of imprisonment in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for not more than five years or confinement in the county jail for not more than one year, a fine fine not to exceed $5,000 or both. Collision involving serious bodily injury -- a third-degree felony -- carries a punishment of imprisonment in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice of not more than 10 years or less than 2 years. Aggravated assault -- a second-degree felony -- is punishable by two to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000. This is the exact statutory scheme as the 'leaving the scene' charges. These ARE the leaving the scene charges and they're exactly what I expected them to be except for the 'involving serious bodily injury' charge which absolutely will not stick (seriously, look up the definition of serious bodily injury in the statute - it ain't happening). The weird one is the aggravated assault one. Still no idea where it came from. The six counts of 'collision involving bodily injury' is misstated and it's just the leaving the scene stuff. Those are going to be handled as misdemeanors. The 7th count is going to get dropped - there's a zero percent change they get that to work within the statute. The aggravated assault feels like piling on for the purposes of a plea deal. This still seems like it's progressing about as I expected it to go, though the assault charge is odd. My best guess: The first 6 charges - hybrid felonies - get plead down as the misdemeanor versions of themselves and he ends up getting 12 months in county concurrently but with an SIS (so no felony record). The 7th and 8th charges are dropped as part of the plea (and honestly, I have no earthly idea how they can even stick anyway). 2-4 game suspension but I still think 2 feels more likely. Going over the array of personal conduct penalties not involving DV and it's a smorgasbord for far hairier shit that got 1-2 games.

That's a shock. Man was a legendary football athlete and actor. I haven't followed him too closely since then but I assume he had a quiet and uneventful retirement.

Brandon Aiyuk has officially asked to be traded from the 49ers. Atm the steelers and Ravens have the most interest in trading for his services. Will the 49ers actually trade him? Who knows unlike the NBA just demanding a trade doesn't actually mean the team will oblige

I mean they're not gonna trade him unless they get blown away by an offer he still has 2 years left of team control (this year and the tag next) and the the 9ers are an NFC superbowl threat so it would make 0 sense to trade your young star WR at this time
