Waited all day for the first Patriots exhibition game to finally see Drake Maye in action. He only played one series, completed a couple of screens and now is sitting for Zappe.
Now I’m watching a game between the Patriots and Panthers 3rd stringers. I’m sure there are high schoolers better then these guys.

Is there no juice to this season or am I just getting more disillusioned with sports in general? I'm interested to see where Denver goes with Peyton and Nix but not much else. KC is b2b with no real threat so there is nothing boiling at the top. It just all seems to come down to your team instead of the League as a whole. Their actions with NFLN, Redzone, Sunday Ticket and other things leaving a bad taste in the hardcore fans' mouths doesn't help. Let’s see: the latest playoff embarrassment, this time getting slaughtered at home by a first year starter QB coincided with the Rangers going all the way and winning their first championship, the Mavs going to the Finals and the Stars reaching the conference finals. DFW sports fans got a taste of what winning felt like again and turns out it tastes pretty good! Free agency time! How are Jerruh and nepoboy gonna react to all of the above with all their money? By doing absolutely nothing, that’s what! Hey but we got Zeke back! *fart noises* As Skip Bayless so eloquently put it: all in (COMMA) my ass. Maybe we’ll re-sign Dak. Maybe not! Maybe we’ll re-sign Lamb. Maybe not! Maybe we’ll re-sign Micah. Maybe not! This fanbase is down bad right now, y’all. This past year has been a real “Come to Jesus” moment for us. I think Jerry and Stephen have finally broke us, didn’t think it was possible but damn. So this off-season has been a juicy pile of something alright. Thank you for coming to my TED talk and may the Gods bless you all. Even you Eagles and Niners fans. tl;dr Cowboys fans right now: Jerrah and his handling of things back with Jimmy are why I jumped ship. Left a sour taste in my mouth back then when they mattered and I was young, can't imaging being in your shoes now. For Denver it's bad but we still believe in hope, lol. I think I’m too far gone to jump ship at this point lol. Let the Texans be the premier team in Texas success wise just to rub it in Jerry’s face. Doubt he’d care considering the fanbase keeps throwing their money at him. It does feel like they’re tired of accepting mediocrity at this point but we’ll see how that translates when the season actually begins. But what great timing for me to go off on the old man, new banger dropped today. Unserious franchise.

The 49ers will be good but it doesn’t matter because the Chiefs exist. The Chiefs are the NFL's new Evil Empire. The Chiefs didn't save us from the Pats; the Chiefs are the new management of the NFL.

Panthers were the same old Panthers. At least we have the 1st round draft pick so this year is definitely going to be a year where Bryce Young needs to prove he can be trusted with the future.

I hoping they gave Zappe that much time as a favor to to him because he's not long for the team. Otherwise wtf? Next week I want Jacoby for a few series than Maye until a series or 2 in the 3rd and finally Milton for the rest of the game.

At least the Cowboys got their trick play Center Ezekiel Eliot back on the team. I still can't believe that was a thing. Even if they were going with that trick play they should've used a TE or somebody else.

I think another reason there isn't much "oomph" about the upcoming season is because the Kansas City Chiefs are back-to-back champions and no one has really firmly established themselves as a serious contender to their throne. So it just feels like a slow, inexorable march to Arrowhead in January. Add to it that the Chiefs won last year in kind of a traditionally unexciting manner (running game and stout defense instead of flashy, big-play offense) and it's understandable that fans are sort of "meh" about the 2024 season. While dynasties are good for media coverage and talking heads, fans of the 31 other franchises care more about parity and the chance of a surprise team - possibly theirs - emerging from the field. It feels kind of like the NBA in the mid-2010s, when we knew from tipoff on opening night that it was just going to be the Cavaliers and Warriors facing off in The Finals. After a while, disinterest inevitably settles in. Yeah it just feels like the Chiefs are destined to get back to the Super Bowl simply because there are no real contenders to take them down. Even during the Pats' dynasty, there were plenty of teams that could take them down. And in some cases, ended up taking them down. But with the Chiefs, it feels like there's no other team that you could say that could defeat them.

Dak Prescott isn’t at Dallas training camp and it’s not injury related, nor is it to do with his contract. That won’t stop people doing Steiner maths on it.

Man as a Chiefs fan that is harsh, the Chiefs were garbage for like 50 years...and they are way more fun than the Patriots were!

The worst part about the Chiefs isn't even the Chiefs fault. It's the stupid levels of oversaturation from commercials with Maholmes and Kelce. Entire commercial breaks would come on with a half dozen commercials and 5 of them would have Maholmes and/or Kelce. At least the ones with Andy are funny. He gets a pass.
It's double bad if you are in a HyVee area of the midwest. Even the local commercials are suddenly Maholmes/Kelce.
And I'm not talking at all about the swift stuff.

Daniels tosses a good deep ball against the Jets backups.
Washington fans: “holy shit! Rookie of the year! We’re going to the Super Bowl!”
This fanbase is insufferable. 😂

Any bit of good news would be like seeing the clouds part after a thunderstorm.

He apparently wants to be paid as a top three receiver and go exactly only where he wants… usually doesn’t work that way. You could also make a fortune, stay in SF and be competing to go back to the Super Bowl, but 🤷♂️
