Framework of an Aiyuk trade completed to both the Browns and the Pats. Up to him to choose the co tract he wants. I can’t believe we prioritized Deebo over this guy. Window closed. Fxxx football. The niners really should’ve won a Super Bowl the last few years. I was actually looking at the stats from last year and on the offensive side of the ball, the team was near the top of many categories.

With how much leverage teams have in the NFL and where the Niners are at as a team, you'd think they'd call his bluff and force him to play out his deal.

You can add the steelers to the Aiyuk sweepstacks.

Is there no juice to this season or am I just getting more disillusioned with sports in general?

Is there no juice to this season or am I just getting more disillusioned with sports in general? As a Ravens fan, I just refuse to set myself up for disappointment like last season.

Is there no juice to this season or am I just getting more disillusioned with sports in general? I’m excited because after how the eagles shit the bed in the second half of the season last year, I’m hoping for a much more consistent season.

Is there no juice to this season or am I just getting more disillusioned with sports in general? For myself, as a Patriots fan, it feels like the 2024 season is going to be a slog because nothing about this roster is really built for this coming season, it's being erected for the future. So we're just settling in for a 4-13 or 3-14 season and the hope that there are signs that this team is moving in the right direction as the season progresses. It's hard to really work yourself into a lather when Jacoby Brissett is the projected starting quarterback and the promotional materials for tonight's preseason game prominently features K.J. Osborn, Marcus Jones, and Ja'Whaun Bentley. Not exactly Brady, Gronk, and Edelman in terms of star power.

I'm a Packers fan who is really exited for the upcoming season. Jordan Love surpassed all my expectations for him last year. I expected something like 4-13 while Love figures it out... instead he went on a tear in the second half of the year.
We have a franchise QB and I can't wait to see what happens with this young and talented group.
No more Joe Barry means the defense will be a lot better too.

Let’s see: the latest playoff embarrassment, this time getting slaughtered at home by a first year starter QB coincided with the Rangers going all the way and winning their first championship, the Mavs going to the Finals and the Stars reaching the conference finals. DFW sports fans got a taste of what winning felt like again and turns out it tastes pretty good! Free agency time! How are Jerruh and nepoboy gonna react to all of the above with all their money? By doing absolutely nothing, that’s what! Hey but we got Zeke back! *fart noises* As Skip Bayless so eloquently put it: all in (COMMA) my ass. Maybe we’ll re-sign Dak. Maybe not! Maybe we’ll re-sign Lamb. Maybe not! Maybe we’ll re-sign Micah. Maybe not! This fanbase is down bad right now, y’all. This past year has been a real “Come to Jesus” moment for us. I think Jerry and Stephen have finally broke us, didn’t think it was possible but damn. So this off-season has been a juicy pile of something alright. Thank you for coming to my TED talk and may the Gods bless you all. Even you Eagles and Niners fans. tl;dr Cowboys fans right now:

I'm a Giants fan, so I'm expecting competitive mediocrity.

I think another reason there isn't much "oomph" about the upcoming season is because the Kansas City Chiefs are back-to-back champions and no one has really firmly established themselves as a serious contender to their throne. So it just feels like a slow, inexorable march to Arrowhead in January. Add to it that the Chiefs won last year in kind of a traditionally unexciting manner (running game and stout defense instead of flashy, big-play offense) and it's understandable that fans are sort of "meh" about the 2024 season.
While dynasties are good for media coverage and talking heads, fans of the 31 other franchises care more about parity and the chance of a surprise team - possibly theirs - emerging from the field. It feels kind of like the NBA in the mid-2010s, when we knew from tipoff on opening night that it was just going to be the Cavaliers and Warriors facing off in The Finals. After a while, disinterest inevitably settles in.

The 49ers will be good but it doesn’t matter because the Chiefs exist.

Is there no juice to this season or am I just getting more disillusioned with sports in general? I'm interested to see where Denver goes with Peyton and Nix but not much else. KC is b2b with no real threat so there is nothing boiling at the top. It just all seems to come down to your team instead of the League as a whole. Their actions with NFLN, Redzone, Sunday Ticket and other things leaving a bad taste in the hardcore fans' mouths doesn't help. Let’s see: the latest playoff embarrassment, this time getting slaughtered at home by a first year starter QB coincided with the Rangers going all the way and winning their first championship, the Mavs going to the Finals and the Stars reaching the conference finals. Left a sour taste in my mouth back then when they mattered and I was young, can't imaging being in your shoes now. For Denver it's bad but we still believe in hope, lol.

At least the Cowboys got their trick play Center Ezekiel Eliot back on the team.
