Man I just cannot believe them cutting Dasha. She's great and out of everyone cut, this one just seems so needless.

The media will most definitely ask TK about these releases more than they asked HHH about the McMahon SA lawsuit. Not because the media has a spine, but because the media will circle the wagons to try to paint AEW as the worst wrestling company ever and WWE as heaven on earth. I understand where you're coming from with this post, but I do not look forward to tribalism posts that will be coming, both after the press conference and even as soon as tomorrow in the Dynamite thread. It's gonna get ugly... The discourse is going to be tough for a bit, but at the Dynamite thread will get us back to discussing the shows. This Punk stuff and releases is draining. |

I hope the wrestling media has more of a spine to ask about these releases with TK than they had when it came time to ask Triple H about the McMahon SA allegations post-Rumble. The media will most definitely ask TK about these releases more than they asked HHH about the McMahon SA lawsuit. Not because the media has a spine, but because the media will circle the wagons to try to paint AEW as the worst wrestling company ever and WWE as heaven on earth. I think the media is more likely to press Tony Khan on this simply because Khan is much more likely to give them meaningful answers when pressed, whereas if they pushed Triple H too hard he would just as likely shut the press conference down and deny the reporters access in the future. |

Pretty spot on. Feels like they cut lower guys with the lowest ceiling vs guys that WWE would grab up. I mean, I get the sentiment but isn’t it a pretty damning form of support? Like “this guy sucks and will never get hired anywhere else.” The Tweet even says “he’ll likely never get another contract anywhere else.” OK, so why should AEW keep paying him? They’re not a charity. |

Like “this guy sucks and will never get hired anywhere else.” The Tweet even says “he’ll likely never get another contract anywhere else.” OK, so why should AEW keep paying him? They’re not a charity. Sure, but most of us are going on what TK said about not releasing guys. You have guys that want to be there being released and guys who don't want to be there being held "hostage". Hell, Henry was being decently used before his injury |

I don't even blame Stu. Guy came back to do f*** all. Kind of reminds me of Ethan Page who only appears on AEW TV when it's time to be in Canada. He had a great Trios Match on an ROH PPV, was coming in with the Righteous to AEW TV originally as a trio because he was in the original segment, and had a Dark Order storyline planned maybe to even rejoin them That's not "f*** all", who knows what it would've lead to but it wasn't nothing. |
