🤨…… honestly it’s fine, I’m willing to share the event, as long as we get it back! Least I don’t have to debate with myself (& my family) about whether to go to show or not lol

Unlike drew doing bad karaoke like in wales, the only song he should start to sing at the end of the night when he wins, is flower of Scotland.

I love that the UK is getting another PLE however as the last two obliterated my bank account I think I will be sitting this one out.
As it's a tiny stadium tickets will be brutal to get anyway.

Drew vs Grado with the lads from Still Game at ringside? Actually, just thought of something The Berlin event is before this right? What if they hot potato the WHC with Drew losing in Berlin to Gunther, and then Drew wins it back in Scotland? Jack & Victor leathering Theory & Waller. Book it!

Shouldn't they have changed the name of the show?

Shouldn't they have changed the name of the show? I mean, last year's event wasn't held at a castle either.

Damn, I thought this might be at Edinburgh castle where they do the military tattoo, that would have looked so damn cool.

Surprised they went with Hydro to be honest. Going from over 60k sold for last year to less than a quarter of that this year?
I get options in Scotland might be limited so surprised they didn’t look elsewhere in UK

I get options in Scotland might be limited so surprised they didn’t look elsewhere in UK I think the issue is that you’d have to find a city government willing to pay and in the UK right now, there’s enough issues with finances where if it was revealed that WWE were payed a handsome sum by, for example, Birmingham (a place that has almost no excess finances right now and cut back almost all the arts financing it used to give out), the outrage would be through the roof and understandably so. Like, if you want to go with the theme, you could argue Dublin would have been an option (Dublin Castle isn’t too far at all from 3Arena so it goes with the theme) but I’ll tell you, we ain’t the most expensive city in the world for no reason. Or, in fact, for any good reason whatsoever but anyway.

Doing a SmackDown from the Hydro on the same night Scotland open the Euros against Germany is a choice.
But I’m buzzing for this, signed up for the pre-sale this morning so I’m hoping to god that they do individual tickets for the pre-sale rather than combo tickets.

City councils in the UK won't pay for it, because apart from there being no money, there's no tradition of councils bidding for events in the UK. All In, Money In The Bank and the last Clash At The Castle didn't get that type of deal.

All In, Money In The Bank and the last Clash At The Castle didn't get that type of deal. Clash at the Castle did, it eventually came out that they paid £2.4m for it. They did get about £20m for the economy in return but people were still kind of miffed that they paid money that could have gone anywhere else for a short term boost. The first two, well, London doesn't need to bid because that space for the O2 can go somewhere else. All In had the advantage of Shahid being able to deal for an extra day at Wembley along with the Jaguars matches already happening there and I presume the sales of tickets basically lead to them going "Yeah, we'll gladly do this again". If All In didn't happen, I just presume they'd just go "Hey Taylor Swift, want an extra date between your two other shows?" just like how All In this year is able to squeeze between the two Swift shows happening.

I presume Murrayfield & Hampden are out (I’ve got tickets to Pink who is playing at Hampden a couple of weeks later) I’d have bitten the bullet and went for Ibrox or Celtic Park. Perhaps they did and got told no, perhaps they thought wasn’t a good idea with weather or local sensibilities

Which is a shame because one of the cooler things that these things could do is show off other venues. Could easily see a show at Old Trafford if the works on it actually get done in our lifetimes for example.

*just looking at the title*
"WWE are doing a show at Crookston Castle?"
But seriously, With that name it should be in Edinburgh.
Since it's my home I'm almost tempted to go.
