With previous eras of WWE, there were distinct marketing campaigns that came with them, and usually have one distinct event associating them.
We generally put the New Generation era as Hogan leaving, and you then get all the video packages referencing it.
The Attitude era has the "Cure for the common show" promo before the subsequent Attitude video packages.
Then for "Ruthless Aggression", I guess you can use the "Get the F out" packages as being the marketing campaign for it, with the name change itself being the distinct event.
Everything after gets muddier to put down as I reckon there is a lack of that marketing to differentiate them.

Yep, as I stated all it'll take is for Cody to say this in a promo and it'll become a thing.

We are going to remember this “era” many years from now. It’s been the hottest WWE has been in 20-25 years and it has spawned hot crowds, big crowds, and legit mainstream acceptance. We will see how long it lasts but it deserves a name.

I feel like the Attitude Era is kind of a weird blip that's impossible to actually pin down the real start or end of in the first place and past that pretty much every attempt to put the time period neatly in some specific box ever since has been forced and meaningless. I always thought it was generally agreed upon that the attitude era began at Survivor series 97 - and the Montreal screw job was the catalyst. And around the time WCW & ECW folded and Wrestlemania 17 is when it officially ended.

There’s an argument that 96 was the start, especially it was around the time Goldust debuted and feuded with Razor Ramon and then Roddy Piper in what can be nicely be called a “gay panic” angle.

And honestly you could argue it more ended at Mania 18 given that show had a lot of WWF vs. WCW stuff too to bottom and the name change happened shortly thereafter.

I could see that argument making sense , they did start getting edgier around that time with characters like Goldust and Stone Cold
