Lot of people on The Red Green Show were talked about but never seen (Old Man Sedgewick, Stinky Peterson, Moose Thompson, among others). Though that was part of the charm of the show.

I feel like we did see Vera once, but only after a cake got thrown in her face. It was a pie at the end of the Thanksgiving episode.

In the U.K comedy series Men Behaving Badly, there was often references to Gary’s friend Clive..
Although in the episode when Gary is set to marry Dorothy at the registry, most of the episode is from the POV of Clive operating a camcorder, he is partially seen in some bits, and he even talks. There is no IMDb listing for him on the episode page. But I think he was played by show writer Simon Nye.

Did Fran's Father ever appear on The Nanny? I think there was one episode where he did appear. Actually, yes, he did appear. It was in one of the later seasons, if not the final season. Sure, there was one episode in which at the end the Sheffield family and the Fine family were having dinner and Grace asked Fran's father something and you only see him from behind. However, when he was finally shown, he was played by Steve Lawrence and he sang a song in that same episode.

I was thinking about "M*A*S*H" and the characters we hadn't seen, and it got me to thinking of the characters we actually did see...
Radar's mother (played by Gary Burghoff)
Major Frank Burn's wife
Colonel Blake's wife
BJ's wife and daughter
Margaret's father
And we didn't see but we did hear Major Winchester's sister Honoria.
