"Going to the cookout" is just the new call and response catchphrase of Trick. "D'Angelo, when I have you in the ring at Heatwave, it ain't gonna be no picnic, because you are GOING..." Crowd: "TO THE COOKOUT!"

Imagine Dave right after trying to explain what "invited to the cookout" means.

Alvarez confirmed whiter than a Chavo Guerrero alter-ego.
Still not as funny as the classic Meltzer bit with him not getting a Bret/Simpsons reference. "I didn't hear about him buying any property in Springfield. As far as I know he just has the big house in Calgary."

"Well, uh, the cookout is a metaphor, for uhhhhh (coughs) the uh, if you think about the state of NXT, and the trajectory and where, um, where WWE as a whole is, with Paul, or Hunter, or Triple H, whatever you wanna call him, he's not running NXT. Shawn Michaels is. But Triple H knows what's going on there, and the, um, the uh, the cookout, that Trick, Trick Williams that is, that Trick invited Cody to, uh, it's not a literal cookout, it's a metaphor, that uh..."

Honestly this is a phrase I've also never heard before but I kind of immediately understood it anyway.

Imagine Dave right after trying to explain what "invited to the cookout" means. It somehow contains a story about Harley Race's cookouts.

"Uhhhh that's a well... good thing a cookout for the fans outside give back to the people, not the people or their people but community, free food for people. The people who go to the shows, not the talent though although uhhh they might be invited THEY SHOULD be invited because if you're giving out lunch to the fans I've heard they usually give food to the talent as well. I don't know if the fans ate food with the talent or producers of the show but I feel confident they ate on that day, as most people tend to eat daily. Someone else can confirm that for me later or yeah. I've heard that the rapper Sexyy Red was a big part of this initiative and danced at the cookout but that uhhhh brings another question as to why she is called Sexyy Red. I believe it is a gimmicked name but uhhhhh parents aren't going to just name their child Red either. People haven't noticed this but there are two y's in her name, which leads me to think this thing is uhhh you know, a bit gimmicked. It could be her real name, I don't know what they do in other countries. I keep up on this modern stuff though you know and I'm hesitant to say that's her real name. Bryan I haven't had lunch today, do you think you could make a cookout yourself?"
"Maybe Dave, maybe. I could host the same type of cookout. You like tuna salad? I hope they didn't invite Tatum Paxley. Just ten dollars a month and we'll get to the bottom of this hootenanny or whatever they're calling it eventually."

This was a perfect post and then you threw in the Tatum hate and it made it even better.
