Sixers might sign Paul George to a max and I am not gonna know how to feel about it if it happens The team needs actual legit depth, they need rebounders, floor spreaders, and a LEGIT backup Center/Insurance Policy for Embiid Paul George would be a big time talent to put with Embiid and Maxey, but at this point I'm just kind of wondering if they should just build a legit team around JUST Embiid and Maxey, because all of these max deals just feel like they lock the Sixers out of what they need the most... key depth. I guess I'll see if that happens and if they actually do get George I know they were also rumoring that Butler could come back here, but if they do that on a Max I'm done, he's older and just got injured pretty bad in the Playoffs, I'd love Jimmy back but I'd much rather a more team friendly deal... well he definitely wants to be there. it's been rumored all season if we didn't win it all that he would end up in Philly for reasons. i don't think you guys would be disappointed even if most of us don't want him here anymore I EXPECT a really good player, if healthy I just... we need to save cap room for depth... we desperately need a bench and insurance, if we can do that while also maxing George, then by all means, but there's a reason the Tobias Harris deal basically guaranteed the last five years of the Sixers were lost.

Jayson Tatum is just waiting for the Celtic to fall to a 5-6 seed one year so he can copy the Rudy Tomjanovich "Don't ever underestimate the heart of a chamnpion" speech if he wins another finals

It won't happen but coaches contract should be part of the cap or have some type of penalty

That is kinda the thing with the NBA now Higher cap so they got to dish out the cash and guys benefit in a big way. $18-$25 AAV is the cost of a rotation player now

I see chatter around the internet saying these contracts are going to price out fans who will no longer be able to afford tickets.
If salaries skyrocket, so does the price of the players. Which sadly for some, it's food or rent or tickets to an event.

The fans have spoken and this shit is ass. The last time ratings went up for an NBA Finals was 2014 to 2015 - the start of the four-year run of Cavaliers vs. Warriors. So be careful what you wish for, or we might go back to the era of the mid-2010s when only two or three teams had realistic chances of winning the championship and the rest of the league was just playing out the string for 82 nights. Also, it's hard to genuinely panic about TEH RATINGZ!!! when the NBA just inked a $76 billion TV right deal with three providers, and The Finals is sponsored by a streaming service that famously doesn't care about TV ratings.

Who is panicking about the ratings? The product was ass. Universally panned. It happens from time to time. Like the Rams/Pats Super Bowl that one year. Just a stinker.

Cheapskate Jerry reinsdorf gonna raise prices while still not spending much on the bulls 😂
