Mitchell is staying in Cleveland. 3yr, $150 mill with a player option for the 27-28 season. Folks were so certain about him being gone too. He kinda had limited prospects plus he is pulling a Beal/Lillard Just sticking around to get the super max

Derozen reportedly could sign a 1 year deal with a team to test free agency in 2025 due to increased cap space that year from multiple teams
This would definitely be something the Sixers should pounce at if he does it.

How does Jonathan Issac keep getting paid by Orlando When he's healthy he's a DPOY caliber defender but I agree this was his first healthy season in years. I wasn't opposed to keeping him around but I would have waited until the end of next season to prove he could string two healthy seasons together, especially one where we weren't keeping him on minutes restriction and holding him out of back to backs, before even considering locking in him in for the long term. I will say that there might be some off the court reasons why the DeVos family likes Isaac enough to keep him around regardless of how unreliable his health is but that's probably something best not discussed here.

Two years, $104 million with a no trade clause and a player option in the second year for Lebron.

Kings have checked in on Lauri and BI
Utah wants an astronomical price for Lauri and Kings are reluctant to give up Keegan Murray in a trade for Lauri or BI

His second year he became a near elite defender! Just wait until he puts it all together! He’s absolutely untouchable!”

I mean it can be done but the likelihood of pulling either of those two players for that compensation is not happening

Bronny is being paid $8 million over 4 years for being LeBron's son lol This has me trying to figure out what the worst case of nepotism in professional sport is. There is a strong case here. There’s probably another more egregious example but still. lol

There’s probably another more egregious example but still. lol See the thing is the nepo hires are usually package deals where they either get put in G League or like Thananis (he was actually drafted tho) where they hold a roster spot for a minimum deal Knicks signing Chris Smith, JR Smith brother for a $2M contract is up there tho. First year was like a minimum $400k and the 2nd year had the money put in escrow It is widely believed that in order for Knicks to bring back JR they agreed to give his brother a spot. When they realized how dumb this was, they cut him like half way in the season I believe. JR was mad as hell saying Knicks betrayed him.

My pick would probably be an NFL coach, like Joe Lombardi or Rob Ryan or something. (And if you expand it to include college sports, you've got to hand the nepotism trophy to Brian Ferentz, no?)
