Hell, let's just crank out the remake to "The Running Man" and stick Tom Burgeron in Richard Dawson's character?
I'd see it...in the dollar theater.

I hate when they say "From the makers of Texas Chainsaw Massacre." And they mean Michael Bay. If it was Tobe Hooper or something, that'd be cool. But if it's not from the makers of the original, they should specify. And again, I don't particularly have a problem with remakes. If they had given it a different title, I don't think people would be making such a fuss over it. Yeah I hate when they say "From the Producers", big deal, so the same people who finnaced that other movie are doing this one too, its not like thats gonna make a huge difference on the actual movie... ...and yeah, the 2004 DOTD was pretty cool, first 15 mins and that opening montage deal were AWESOME...

Seriously, I walked out of DOTD '04 virtually numb from all I had seen. At the time, I thought it was a stunning piece of moviemaking. But then, I watched it again on video, and the original has it beat in characterization. It's systematic of how remakes are treated now. There's so little time to do things, like characteration, because they need to crank up the gore and action to get people's attention. Zack Snyder and James Gunn are talented people, "300" and "Slither" show that. It's just that the DOTD remake could have been so much better, but was not going to touch Romero's original.

I hate that montage of them settling into the mall living life. I wanna see people trying to survive, seriously, thats what I watch zombie moves for...

There's a remake of "Hairspray".
With John Travolta.
As Edna Turnblad.

Originality is pretty much dead in Hollywood. Hell even Borat is basically just copying off of stuff Andy Kaufmann did almost 30 years ago.
