Hugs to you. This is not a fun time, and there's no timeline.
And if you don't sleep much or eat much, don't worry. Grief f***s you up, sometimes you won't be able to sleep or eat much, or you'll sleep and eat more. Don't think for one second that you're grieving wrong. Everybody grieves differently, there's no wrong way. You might find some stuff you love doesn't give you that same feeling, don't worry, that's grief.

All my condolences and prayers to you and your family, I lost both my grandparents not that long ago and my grandfather passing was particularly difficult because when that call came...we actually missed it because it came in the absoloute middle of the night when everyone is just sound asleep and so my mother in particular took it very very hard because she never got to say goodbye to her father.
Again all condolences to you and RIP to your grandfather.

Very sorry for your loss. I still remember when my Grampie, Grammy and Nana passed away. It's one of those things you just can't be prepared for, even if it's inevitable. My Nana had cancer and I still wasn't ready for her to just be gone. You're in my thoughts.

My condolences. 100% get not being ready. I lost my last living grandparent earlier this year. We knew it was coming but that didn't stop the gutpunch and the pain of the loss.
Even if sometimes relationships can be rocky, family is family. Sending you lots of love, take all the time you need to grief.
