The Simpsons. They’ll never catch up. They’re 15 seasons behind the last DVD release.

Loads of early Nickelodeon shows will never get any sort of physical or digital release not only due much of their content being made up of individual shorts/cartoons that were only licensed for initial airings but also because the network has little interest even referencing any show pre-YCSTOTV (and even that's lucky to get shouted out). Pinwheel was a cornerstone of Nick, and you could be forgiven for assuming it aired elsewhere given how little the channel cares about it. I think YCDTOTV gets the nod because of the before they were stars moment, and that they took the whole sliming schtick from the show. So they're kind of indebted to them. YCDT... wasn't originally a Nickelodeon property, yes? That makes it even more interesting.

Thinking about MST3K, couldnt they just release the audio track only for the "banned" episodes? That's what Rifftrax does for their riffs of major motion pictures (though the films Rifftrax does are easier to find obviously, but it shouldnt be too hard to find the original, un-MSTed films). I don't believe so, for a number of reasons. The movies were edited for the episodes to fit in the run time, the riffs were done to specific prints of the film and I don't think the way they filmed the episodes that the riffs could be extracted by themselves.

Yeah they edited the films down to for the 1:30 with commercials and host segments. I also wouldn't be surprised if, unlike rifftrax, they didn't keep/record the audio on multiple tracks

Soaps. Any soaps. They have five new episodes every week, sometimes more, and have been going on for 400 years apiece. That DVD box set ain't never happening.

For that and game shows. Though the prime time games we have now have much shorter seasons. Daytime TV could be like this in general. Late night too. With game shows you have to clear celebrities who appeared on them, maybe music, MAYBE the contestants? (I doubt the latter)

Dark Side of the Ring. Even though the WWF/E footage could get through as it's being used in a documentary context, it's probably not worth the risk.

In Living Color
The DVDs are edited with skits missing. Was one we watched that sans ads was 12 minutes.

All the short lived USS cartoons from the 90’s; Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Problem Child, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Darkstalkers, etc. hell I’m fairly sure USA burned them all a long time ago.

Top of the Pops. Hell, you can't even RERUN that correctly. Wiped episodes (similar to what happened to many a episode of 1960s doctor who), music rights issues and episodes that had a certain disgraced presenter whose name we shall NOT metion

Dinosaurs. It's fascinating to me that a show with such an impact as that one had isn't even on any streaming service, much less a home release. Doctor Who. Because there’s so many missing episodes thanks to the BBC and their tape-wiping ways. Same reason we’ll never get The Likely Lads, Dad’s Army or Hancock’s Half Hour. IIRC, audio tracks for the missing Doctor Who episodes have been recovered, so there's still hope for some kind of release.

Not sure where you are in the world but they were all released on R1 dvd years ago. I bought them for my wife one Christmas. They’re a bit expensive but you can find them on Amazon.

I know it was at one point in the US. Not sure if it is anymore (I'm at work right now and can't access Disney+ on my work computer).
