You have some interesting thoughts there. I really can't see Brian Pillman getting a ticket in. Although I did enjoy him he wasn't in the WWF all that long before his demise and I honestly do not remember him making much of an impact there. When it comes to posthmous inductions he would be toward the end of a long list including Owen Hart, Yokozuna, Mr. Perfect, Ravishing Rick Rude, Davey Boy Smith and even The Big Boss Man.
When Paul Bearer gets in I t hink it will probably be Kane inducting him. It should be Taker but I don't know if Taker does Hall of Fames even though in this case he most definitely should.
I'd like to see Macho Man in there because he was such a big part of the WWF's early hey day in the late 80's. Although I detest everything he stands for as a human being I would have to say that Steve Austin (if he is indeed oficially retired) should get a nod for the HOF. He ushered in the attitude era and there's no disputing the impact of Stone Cold and his middle finger on wrestling as we know it today.
I'm sure there are more that I'm leaving out but those are just some of my choices.

My vote goes to Davey Boy Smith & The Dynamite Kid As the tag team 'The British Bulldogs' but also (mainly Smith) singles competitors! But how's this idea I got for an angle? Vince McMahon nominates himself into the Hall of Fame & even though he probably deserves an induction anyway... much to the disgust of his old nemesis 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin (also inducted) Who believes he's "Nothing more than a piece of trash!" Thus reigniting the legendary feud of the late 90's. Make it just a one-off for Wrestlemania, Backlash or whatever. Just a thought!

Yes, both British Bulldogs are "flashes in the pan" if you want my opinion. While they might have been a great tag team when they came out and were the first to really usher tag teams into high flying painful acts, can you list some accomplishments they have had outside the WWE? Something they took to a legendary status, something still talked about today. Like Valentine-Piper fueds in the mid-atlantic in the 80's?. The Road Warriors dominance in every wrestling group they were in (except WWE, where Vinnie never let them hold the belts too long). Piper-Hogan putting wrestling on the public mat in 1984 & 1985? While Piper seems to have a sincere hatred for the loss of kayfabe in the business, I think he is right about the buildup for Wrestlemania. While people wanted to see Hogan, they came to see Piper get his ass kicked. I hated Piper with a passion and kept waiting (and waiting) for SOMEONE to put him in his place. They all failed. years later, I find out that he had creative control in all his matches and never allowed himself to be pinned.

Dynamite's feud in Japan with Tiger Mask is legendary.

Well, this is the WWE HALL OF FAME!!!! Therefore, if they had their biggest success in the WWE, then they should be inducted into the WWE HALL OF FAME!!!!

I don't see how Ultimate Warrior is a Hall or Famer. The man is the defenition of flash in the pan. Although his induction speech would be amazing.

um..........OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAH
Owen Hart. Miss Elizabeth. Road Warriors. Jake Roberts. Rhodes. Von Erichs. Maybe Paul Bearer inducted by Undertaker. It would be great to see the Funker inducted by Dreamer It would be cool to see Steamboat and Savage both be inducted at the ceremony, the match being 20 years ago. Eric Bischoff being inducted to the WWE Hall of Fame? Don't see that happening ever. Ever.....ever. I shouldn't even have to say why. Paul Heyman, in later years, maybe. If Verne Gagne, a man who represented the AWA can be inducted, why not the man who was the head of a promotion that arguably caused the 1990's wrestling boom?

While I really think the HOF is just a big joke that people ponder way too much on, I am glad that the Original Sheik is being considered. The guy owned the Detroit/Michigan territory for a long time, and it would be great to induct him while they are in the area. Why not put the warrior in? The guy made (and still is making) and tremendous impact, he certainly would be far from the worst inductee, and to hear him do a speech would be a real treat.
And I'm not gonna say too much else, I agree that there shouldn't be too many dead guys, and I also think Ivan Koloff would be a sleeper pick.

Yeah Bruno will never go into the WWE Hall of Fame. And he's right, it is a joke. But it's the only mainstream pro wrestling hall of fame we have so we're stuck. Here are my picks:
The Road Warriors Dusty Rhodes Terry Funk The Sheik Bob Backlund The British Bulldogs Donald Trump
I know this is the Hall of Fame thread, but I'm just wondering if there's any news on whether WrestleMania 24 will take place in Orlando or Las Vegas?

It might also be in Arizona, from what I heard. Suggestion: sticky another topic for future Wrestlemania locations. This thread comes up several times each year. Actually, there is another Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame, and it's the one I consider to be definitive: www.pwhf.org

Well, here's some good news (non HOF):
Indianapolis is a major contender for WM 25, what with the new stadium being finished by then.

If any of the following will be inducted, then I'm satisfied: - Perfect - Steamboat - Malenko - Owen (probably won't happen) - Arn - British Bulldogs as a team - DiBiase

Hall Of Fame? This must be a joke. I have been watching since 1983 and I think they should lose the following people... Ivan Putski Jimmy Snuka Big John Studd Magnificent Muraco Bob Orton Jr Jimmy Hart Nikolai Volkoff Iron Sheik Sherri Marel Tito Santana Tony Atlas William Perry I can see if they awarded one a year posthumously for Studd & JYD. But Putski? Volkoff? You've got to be kidding me. And Rick Martel for '07? I realize that he had a career before WWE but he was no Ric Flair. That's like me saying that Tommy Rich should be in.... or Buzz Sawyer. I look at this like a legitimate hall of fame, wrestlers who deserve to be honered for their contributions to the sport, not losing every PPV. I think the British Bulldogs (neither of them) get in due to lack of time in wrestling. While they were the first team of their kind, they were a flash in the pan. I agree with Gordon Solie, Dusty Rhodes, and Road Warrior Hawk (Stupid Vince making them change to LOD). I feel this honor should go to the best of the best, not the ones who were okay and helped Lil' Vinnine when he took the reigns in 1983. } You sir are wrong.
