He seems to be one of the main wrestlers 2 get insulted on these boards and seems that no1 has anything good to say about him..
I remember during his 1st DX run and his1999 Hardcore titlte and intercontinental title feuds with shamrock/al snow he was hugely over..and i know quite a few people at my school loved him and even bought his Mr.ass shirt!!
I mean from 1998 to late 1999 he was really popular amongs fans..i thought the fame-asser was a cool move and even most non-wrestling fans i met knew who Mr.ass was..the name was original i guess!
I rem after he came back from injury and teamed with the rock vs RTC he got a huge pop when he came out...and was over for most of his return...it just seemed to go downhill when they started calling him ' The One' Billy Gunn and changed his music.
So are there any actual Billy Gunn fans out there?

I liked him as a member of the Outlaws. That's about it. King Ass didn't exactly do anything, and once he was out of that tag team I couldn't have cared less.

I marked for the Smokin' Gunns back in the day. And yes I was a Mr. Ass mark during the New Age Outlaws era.

When I was a mark and he was in DX...but otherwise I don't care for him
although I truly did find Billy & Chuck to be entertaining (seriously)...well when he was a singles guy he sucked

I liked when he was The One and had no gimmick or personality to speak of. He was just...The One.

I marked for him in the early days of the New Age Outlaws, before he became obsessed with his ass and started wearing see-through trunks.

I was a fan of Bad Ass Billy Gunn and loved his IC and Hardcore title reigns.

I can't remember marking for him, maybe in his Smokin Gunn days, but apart from that..nothing.
Well, this past Sunday when he confronted Christy Hemme, I thought that was great, she was stinking up the joint, though I know she meant well.
