but kayfabe-wise, Kennedy is the right character to put in the SD! World HW bout at the Rumble, and I think he´s now officially accepted as a main eventer

Finlay has pulled watchable matches out of Batista on Smackdown a few times. Nice to see Kennedy getting a shot, though.

Don't get me wrong, I love Finlay too. But it was just more unpredictable to see Mr KK get the shot. Plus, we've seen Finlay/Batista too many times now.

Also, I found the Kennedy/Batista match from the Great American Bash more entertaining than any Finlay/Batista match.

Finlay is a brilliant wrestler, but he doesn't really have enough heat to carry a one on one main event type match. He's much more suited making triple threats and fatal four ways way better than they should be.

Finlay is a great wrestler, but has no charisma. Kennedy has bucket loads, and is a solid performer.

Plus, we've seen Finlay vs Batista virtually every SD! since Batista returned.

Either would have been fine. Although Finlay had no chemistry with Batista (he's not the first guy), so hopefully Kennedy will.

Kennedy and Finlay are my two favorites on SmackDown, but I'm glad Mr. Kennedy got the title shot. Finlay would be better suited in the Rumble match. In fact, I bet he lasts the longest this year.

Put it this way, from SmackDown's perspective I am much happier with Kennedy representing the main challenger this year over Rey from last year. Obviously Rey is good for what he does, but as the Hevayweight Champ he was more of a novelty and a by-product of the Eddie exploitation that is winning in the Gooker votes right now. Kennedy is a charismatic heel who is incredible on the mic and is decent in the ring (perhaps not MIND BLOWING in the ring, but I don't think that's necessary in Dub Dub E).

Shame..shame on you! Kennedy has great mic skills. And he ain't a half-bad worker. I love Finlay but Kennedy has show-biz charisma. They seem to let him run wild on the mic. His calling Bob Holly "Sparky Plugg" at the beginning of their fued was gold.

The "he only says his name" argument died with the Undertaker feud when he was cutting those awesome serious promos. And while he isn't Finlay in the ring, he's incredibly passable and has had good matches.

In a way I'm glad it's him, because there is a real chance he could win. Win then lose it right back at No Way Out , but win it none the less.

I can't believe people still think Kennedy is a one-note joke after his feud with the Undertaker in which he delivered some amazing and intense promos.

I've concluded that the people who still hold this erroneous belief either

A) Don't watch SmackDown
B) Misssed this whole feud even if they did watch SmackDown

in any event, I'm glad they're moving Kennedy up to main event status cause he definetely has what it takes to be at the top of one of the brands.

Ok I chuckled when he said mr..... and got choked by taker after beating him with the mic. nothing else was memorable to me

As for main event status I've got 3 words for ya..........The Great Khali!!!!!!!!!
