Here we can share reasons why XPW sucked donkey balls.
I know this thread is random, but the other day I was drunk, and my friend convinced me to watch some old XPW tapes saying it was better than ECW (did I mention he was drunk too lol?)....and yeah it was like damn near the worst shit I have ever seen. I am almost convinced that half their roster were yard-tards, and never been trained. The matches were garbage, and I shudder to even call it wrestling.
Discuss your awful memories of XPW here too.

Seeing Shane Douglas and Sabu there made me cringe!

although Juventud, Lynn, Crazy, Psicosis, Sabu, and Mexicos Most Wanted had a few good matches there.

XPW had one good thing in Rock Superstar Kaos. Great heel, had two awesome matches with Danny Doring, and he wore his belt during matches.

I've only seen three XPW shows (Baptized in Blood, Go Funk Yourself, and Genocide), and they were all crap. Where to begin...
1. The commentary sucks. Kris Kloss and Larry Rivera are the two worst things to ever happen to a microphone. If Kloss didn't call WSX, it would be the best wrestling show on TV, but he kills it with his hack commentary. And Larry is just pathetic to hear. The (probably fake) accent and whining about all the violence just gets on my nerves.
2. Even with decent talent, their matches were shit. They had Terry Funk vs. Sabu, and they couldn't get a decent match out of it. How Godawful do you have to be to screw up Funk/Sabu?
3. Deathmatch wrestling sucks donkey dick, period. Need I say more.

WOW!!!! If they couldn't get a good match out of Sabu and Terry Funk, then XPW must have sucked. I mean, that Funk and Sabu Barb Wire match in ECW was one of the best matches I've seen. How they could put on a bad match together is shocking to me.

I, too, was once tricked into watching XPW under the impression that it was "ECW Ver. 2.0". Man, was I so very very wrong. For every cool spot there were half a dozen blown spots. I saw two or three Kaos Vs. Chris Hamrick matches and they were (dare I say?) botch-tastic. Plus there was the time they completely effed up a flaming table spot in the worst way imaginable when Supreme burned alive for like 10 seconds. Or the time New Jack almost killed Vic Grimes in a terrible scaffold match. Or the atrocious angles involving rape or feces. Or the time GQ Money talked. Or when GQ Money was ever on screen. Or Kriss Kloss being the biggest, and worst, Joey Styles rip-off ever.
I think the only good thing to ever come out of XPW's putrid existence was that a handful of people got introduced to some of RevPro's finest through their interpromotional matches. And possibly "That Juvented Guerrera Promo", too.

my hatred is more directed towards Rob Black and his shoddy business tactics. Not only is a bad person in real life, he's got a sick idea of erotic fantasies (things that will make you throw up). I will never forgive him for trying to run every other promotion out of Philly, or calling for the attack on Messiah where Billy(Messiah's real name) lost his thumb.
Granted I hated Rivera and Kloss, and GQ Money, and the pornstars, and all the bait and switches, cancelling shows without telling fans or giving refunds...
which reminds me of their last show in Philly that my friend dragged me to. 20 bucks a ticket to get in, we sit down, Kloss comes out and announces the show was being cancelled due to weather (let me point out it was sunny, it was cold and in the middle of winter, but the only bad weather was being called for Monday and this was a Friday, and they were also cancelling the Saturday show). When we go to get refunds, they give us XPW DVDs, and not even good shows (their 1999-2001 socal shows were alright, but they gave us crappy DVDs)
once they got to Philly (and I'll admit I went to some shows, I went of Philly indy shows, now I mostly do CZW and ROH when in town) it became evident they would go down hill, and they did.
I could vent on these guys and why I hate them all night, if you want specifics just ask ;D

I forgot all about those.
Supreme burning was an idiotic move because they didn't use the normal fluid used for burning table spots, and they used too much. Which resulted in huge flames. To make matters worse, they didn't have fire extinguishers ready
The Rape and Feces angle... thankfully I forget most of it... I just remember it ended with Angel (who calls him self the Hardcore Homo) and GQ Money (aka the ring announcer in WSX) having a raw sewage match.
New Jack...well, his side of the story is Grimes chickened out at the last minute of doing the planned bump, and tried to grab NJ's arm, but he pushed him off. That's New Jack's side of the story.

I only saw one of their shows on DVD. It was Meh. Rob Black was one of the crappiest promoters/wrestlers I've ever seen.

i actually thought GQ Money had a good look, wasnt much of a wrestler though. Was he even a wrestler, or just a guy Rob Black knew?
My theory on XPW was that they would take good wrestlers, and potentially good matches and make them terrible. Just cuz nobody knew how to book, and the wrestlers knew the promotion sucked so they half assed it.

Never saw it, but it sounds crappy enough that I never want to. They screwed up Funk/Sabu? How is that even possible? If you want to see how that's possible (and not have to claim ownership of an XPW dvd), pick up a copy of Hardcore Homecoming (or was it Forever Hardcore, I can't remember). They have some all ECW alumi matches from XPW. It has the Funk/Sabu crapfest I saw on Go Funk Yourself (God, that's worse than "In Your House: Beware of Dog" when it comes to horrid show names). EDIT: I just checked my DVDs, and the Terry Funk vs. Sabu match I was talking about is on the second disc of Forever Hardcore.

I purchased a couple XPW tapes and DVD's. I never hated the federation but I kept giving the fed chance after chance to impress me but it never did. I recall the first video I bought featured XPW stars that were complete rip off of ECW stars. Homless Jimmy was their Mickey Whipreck, They had a gangsta tag team, Johnny Webb was Sandman, Phenomenal Phil did a pretty good Raven impersonation and Kid Kaos was their version of RVD. I also recall Shane Douglas calling some WCW executive w/ his cell phone and cussing him out on his answering machine.... Candido was still signed w/ WCW at the time and ran away to avoid getting in trouble. I hated Supreme. He was fat and short and looked like a bald Peter Griffin. The fans were supposed to take him seriously as hardcore badass...what a joke. Supreme was a huge mark for himself... I yell to the crowd "Who am I!?" and they reply "SUPREME!" and that means I'm over yeah!!! and then he would shoot on guys like Sandman for not taking him seriously. Idiot. I really like Messiah and this one big dude who was extremely agile named Tool.

I have a few dvd's...but haven't watched them in years. All I can recall is from the first hardcore tournament is a fat black guy puking in the ring.
