That annoys me to. I don't mind if he winces or something, but even if he's pain, damn it RVD, cover the guy, don't just roll around next to him. That adds suspense, though.

He sells his own frog splash to show that it is so painful that it hurts himself. I mean, if he's in pain, what must the other guy feel?

I think it makes no sense to do a move that hurts you, more so if its a 3 or 4 way or something like that.

And on a related note, how did sharks attack landlocked Orlando in Jaws 3?

I think it makes no sense to do a move that hurts you, more so if its a 3 or 4 way or something like that. I guess because it hurts the opponent worse.

I love when he does that it adds so much more to the move IMO

The only comparison I think of is that if I could hit a baseball deep into the gap in right field, but the only way I could do it was to injure my knee, leaving me unable to run the bases, what the hell is the point?
What good is injuring an opponent if you can't pin the guy afterwards? Maybe if he did it off the 2nd rope he'd actually be able to pin somebody.
(I love kayfabe wrestling discussion)

It's pretty hard for someone to sell something laying down flat, so RVD sells it for them to put emphasis on the move.

I think RVD comes down with such impact that the wind gets knocked out him so he really has no choice. Eddy and D-Lo just seem to float down onto their guy and stay there while, RVD crashes down and bounces a lot.

It puts the move into a "desperate move" category?
He can't put the other guy down, so he's doing anything he can to do it. Even if it hurts himself? Isn't that the reason why people would even get out of their seat when he signals for it?
