I'm kinda mixed about this. I'd love to see Punk off of ECW, but Raw? I want Punk to go to Smackdown, where the wrestling is, not the ratings.

I can see it now...
He's going to be moved to RAW to be with Maria. Then Maria cheats on him with the newly signed Colt Cabana. Colt rockets into super stardom, while Punk gets fired. Punk then wrestles a few Indy dates before storming RAW one day, attacking Colt, cussing out Johnny Ace and chanting FIP, FIP, FIP. After a few weeks of this Vince will rehire Punk and stick him in a feud with Colt. Punk will one match in that feud before losing a "Loser Leaves RAW" match and goes to ECW where he jobs for the remainder of his contract despite being one of the most over people on the roster.

Whatever. Hopefully his "big push" will consist of going to a show that gets better ratings.

He'd need to go to Smackdown for that, it says he is off to Raw With the current attitude towards interbrand matches (They can happen at any time! Any place! You don't even have to ask the GM!) he doesn't even necessarily have to leave the ECW brand... On a different note, Nitro vs. Punk could work well. It's two vastly different people and that alone could make it work. |
