And did Thorn just pin Sandman even though Sandman's shoulders were NOT on the mat?
This is just an f'ing mess.

Is it just me, or does it look like ECW is dying like WCW did from its last few years?
And Tazz gets away with it because his back hurts too much to choke out McMahon. Your forgetting that the ONS match was only like 5 seconds long.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. I thoroughly enjoyed ECW tonight. It had better matches than any Impact of the last few months.
I mean, I don't expect ECW to improve overnight, but tonight was entertaining.

Taz and Styles admitted to being ECW Originals while doing their commentary. I guess you put on the dog show during that part. Can't believe that the English Spaniel won. The herding group got jobbed out. I guess they were in the Westminster's dog house.

The only reason that I say that is beacause it seems that WWE is neglecting ECW. Instead of maybe doing some sort of inter-promotional feud or a way that the can utilize the talent for Wrestlemaina, the only give ECW one match...and not enough exposure. They are treating it as a mid-card bathroom break match.... thats sad.

They have only announced 3 matches for WM and they were all rumored for months.

I'm not crazy about the ECW originals basically being glorified jobbers either, for the simple fact that many of them were already over when the nw ECW started. Like Sandman for example. He was never a great wrestler, but the crowds liked him. He was loved by old ECW fans because he's kind of an icon of the old ECW, and new ECW fans liked him because of his attitude and demeanor. Had they not booked him to be a huge jobber to the new breeders, people would have been able to take him a lot more seriously. Im not saying he needed to be champion or anything, but if they just let him win some serious matches then he would be a highly marketable character to represent ECW.

Stick a catchphrase on a shirt, and every beer drinker in the crowd is buying one. Kinda like some of austin's stuff.

The idea that WWE-Lite has better matches than Impact is just...I dunno, it's like saying rat poison is healthier for your body than water. Impact > WWE-Lite

I enjoyed it because the New Breed only wins when they cheat, which makes sense, I don't know what all your people's problems is.
Oh, and iMPACT doesn't have better matches because they don't HAVE matches. They just have random wrestling that ends with a run-in or something.

Impact > WWE-Lite Well, since ECW actually has matches its not that hard. WWE-Lite's matches have been slow and boring. Impact's matches are actually very good. The fact that so many people claim they don't is a surprising show of how few people seem to actually watch the broadcasts. or only watch matches where the majority of matches end that way.

Well, I'm more of a mark for the type of wrestling that we saw tonight rather than the spot monkey style that they show on Impact. Maybe if those X-Division guys would, gee I dunno, SELL a move every once in a while I'd enjoy it more.

While each brand had their own title matches (so they will not be included follwing here), how many straight up ECW v. ECW guys were there....none. And the only interpromtional stuff happened in the Survivor Series matches and the Royal Rumble. I say do one match that can build a big money making feud for Mania. Say Snitsky v. CM Punk or something and run with it. There is no chance for development if ECW only gets one match per Big 4 and its only a title match.

True that in the 3 "Big Four" PPVs since the relaunch, there have been only 2 ECW only matches (both were title matches). However plans for Summer Slam were ruined by RVD's drug bust and ECW was just off the ground so there wasn't a lot to build on. Survivor Series had only one non Survivor Series match and that was the Smackdown WHC match. Plus the Survivor Series matches used the feuds built in ECW and carried them to those matches. Royal Rumble had two interpromtional matches (Hardyz vs. MNM which started on ECW and the Rumble) and each brands Title match. The only one where you could say ECW didn't have a strong presence was Summer Slam. I think the New Breed vs. Originals feud ends at WM giving you at least one ECW match, then there is Lashely who will wrestle someone (title or not) and, the possibility for someone to be in the MITB match from ECW if they have it.
