Because Bam Bam Bigelow passed away with little to no money left, several Northeastern wrestlers led by wrestling legend Afa started to raise money for his funeral. Afa was recently contacted by WWE (it's been rumored that he'll be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year along with Sika), and in the course of his conversation with Vince McMahon, McMahon agreed to pay for the funeral. There were two funerals for Bigelow, one in New Jersey and one in Florida. McMahon payed for the NJ one. Local wrestlers in Florida raised money for the Florida one. Several members from his old biker club were at the NJ one, along with wrestlers from the NJ area. Also, Mick Foley was there. DDP flew from California and Brother Ray flew from Florida to attend the funeral as well.

Wow. McMahon looks like a total douche on TV, but outside of things, he's a suprisingly pleasant guy.
But some people will complain how he didn't pay for both of them, I'm guessing.

Suprisingly nice gesture from Vince McMahon. I'd like to see Bigelow get a HOF induction. Sure, people will say he only got it because he passed away, but I've been wanting him in the Hall for the past 3 induction ceremonies.

In reality, he didn't have to pay for ANY of them. How many wrestlers have walked through WWE's doors? Vince doesn't owe them anything.
It speaks volumes on the kind of guy Vince is, and also the kind of guy Bam Bam was.

Sometimes, Vince really makes it hard to hate him for the decisions he made. Good on him.

I know we all like to give McMahon a hard time, but times like this, or with sending guys like Eddie Guerrero, William Regal, or X-Pac to rehab even when they weren't under contract, he's got some humanitarian in him, but usually it seems to be only for people who had some good in them (Although with X-Pac, that's very debatable)

HE SHOULD'VE PAID FOR BOTH!!!!
Just kidding, he didn't have to do anything and he did something, he's a good man, some people forget that because of the character he plays on TV.

I think McMahon is a very, very nice man, but he wants to have this persona of being larger-than-life that sometimes he comes off as a dick. Either way, this was a very classy move, nobody'd have said a word if he didn't pay for it

Vince has always been a businessman before he has been a friend, but things like this are why no matter how much of a dick he is to a contracted worker or how horrible the quality of his product is, I'll always have respect for him. You give and you get. By all accounts, Bam Bam was one hell of a guy who was hard to dislike. This drives that point home just a little bit more.

What wasnt reported was that in return for paying for the funeral, the Bigelow family had to agree to let Vince McMahon exploit his death in the upcoming Batista/Undertaker feud.
