I don't know if they can fix ECW so easily..I think they've lost too many fans to care anymore.. It'd take a few months, but yes, the show can be fixed and made even better. The higher-ups just don't want to do it.

I just don't understand. The reason TNA is gaining speed and catching up to the wwe is because of the talent they have and ya know what? Nothing in TNA as far as talent goes..represents Bobby Lashley. I don't know if they can fix ECW so easily..I think they've lost too many fans to care anymore.. TNA isn't gaining any speed right now.

I don't see anyone buying Bobby Lashley shirts. He doesn't even have a nickname or catch phrase. HARD HITTING! SOFT SPOKEN! not all that great though Thats not even a catch phrase or a nick name though, it's just random words in his titan tron for no reason. I think he was "The Real Deal" or something for a week or two, but he never had an established nickname. Closest thing to a catch phrase he's got is the "...and you're a bastard" thing, only because it gets made fun of so much. I think he has shirts on the market, with a cartoon of him lifting weights or something, but I've never seen anyone wear it.

How many people think of the words "pro wrestler" and "soft-spoken" at the same time? Wrestlers are supposed to be intimidating. It makes him sound like the weird kid in the back of the classroom who never says anything.

I totally agree, and I really think ECW has lucked out as a result. If TNA was putting on the revolutionary TV that they are probably capable of, ECW wouldn't stand a chance. Part of the reason why WWE is able to sustain 3 brands right now is because their prime competition seems to be stuck in first gear. One of these days though, TNA is gonna tighten up their show and WWE could be in some serious trouble.

meh, I don't know.
I like ECW and I do think it has potential..I'm just not very optimistic about it anymore.
I also think that the WWE should make up its mind about this whole "brand seperation" thing..I'm tired of people showing up on different shows. I think thats a way that ECW can thrive as well..by developing talent exclusive to that brand instead of having Vince show up and Balls show up on RAW only to get squashed by Umaga..who wants to watch a show full of losers who can't compete with other brands.
The key is to develop itself as its own thing and stop comparing it to the other brands..
Am I making sense or am I just rambling?

Well Vince never should be "brand exclusive".
But yeah, Balls appearing on Raw for no reason didn't make sense.
Not to mention the Smackdown PPV is going to have multiple inter-brand matches.

it just grinds my gears to hear the words "intent on making a star". WE make the stars, THE FANS make the stars. If we dont like someone, they u give us somebody who we do like. You make money either way. What does it matter if they make $100,000 off RVD or CM Punk shirts rather than Lashley shirts, they are still making the money, plus the ratings stay up.

I think Branimal has a point.
The inter-brand stuff is great, for, you know, INTER-BRAND events, but if their serious about keeping 3 seperate brands, they should keep the brand exclusive events BRAND EXCLUSIVE.

yeah, I agree with the Vince thing...however, I think Vince should be restricted to Smackdown and RAW..because they are both SUPPOSED to be under the WWE brand. I don't really know if they are still trying to establish ECW as their own thing or not..but I guess having Vince show up really doesn't help it.

i think they need to give it up with lashley. he gets the worst crowd reaction i've ever heard for a world champion. as much as i despise the cena character i can see why they force him on us non stop in many ways.
lashley on the otherhand is a mystery.

You know, if it weren't for licensing issues, I would put that Lashley/Finlay quote on a T-shirt. Buy it now on Shopzone.com! ;D

The problem with charisma is you either have it or you dont.

well..its not just charisma that Lashley lacks..its pretty much any intangible that makes you a good wrestler. I don't even think he's capable of putting on a decent match.
Is it just me or is it whenever Lashley gets this intense look on his face it appears as if he's just mere seconds away from crying?

The bookers have always had a huge say in who becomes a star and who doesn't. 7/10ths of the fans out there will cheer for whoever is pushed to the moon. Lashley's hella over, so it's true.

Nice idea on at least just using it to build Lashley. Not good in anyway besides that. This will probably put Lashley over because in a year, let's face it, some kinda cult will have had to form behind him.

If they'd put an audio-bite of him saying "You're a bastard!" at the beginning of his entrance tune, he might develop a small following of people who like worthless midcarders. Worked for Snitsky and "It wasn't my fault!".

Lashley is far from hella over. hes not over in any way that a champ should be, regardless of the show. And of course bookers push guys, but when they dont get over, other guys get pushed. My whole point being, why push anyone down our throats? Just exploit the guy who the fans are behind. Push him harder, and he'll get stronger reactions.

They did this with Rock, Austin, Triple H, Jericho, Foley, and damn near anyone else who broke out during the Attitude era. Why they won't go back to this logic, I'll never know.
