So that´s it? They are going to kill again ECW and push Lashley? Despite...Everbody disagreing on how the show is being booked and how Lashley is not ready? Gotta love McMahon. He just loses money over and over again. Technically speaking, I doubt he is losing any money from this. He was already spending money on Velocity, and he already had guys that were part of the former ECW, so all he had to do is cancell Velocity and put on ECW live. The only money he is losing is probably his ties with Sci-Fi, but ECW is meeting the expected ratings Sci-Fi asked for.

Observer changes stories way too often even PWI has been doing it.
I think Vince is lending himself to ECW in order for the company to be thought of in a higher regaurd.
I really hope ECW does become a success really I hope it does.
I say putting more calibur superstars on the show would be a start, Rey Mysterio would be a great start

God, I dont care anymore about what he did at one time. Right now he is the biggest f***ing moron I have ever heard of. Anyone with half a brain could know what it would take to make ECW succesful. Is it that hard to realize that they need to bring in more ECW-style wrestlers and let Heyman book it?

This isn't a progress "report", it's just conflicting.

They need to really grasp the whole "brand thing". They're all the same show right now.

In the words of Roddy Piper "The only business that ever suceeded was the one your daddy gave you, Vince".
I always thought that the ECW/WCW fiasco was a cathartic exercise for ol' Vinny. You know a chance to torture his vanquished enemies, Ivan the Terrible style. But what has become obvious over the last 5 years is exactly what Piper said. He cant possibly manage anything that his brain conjures up.
He only knows one way of working, he only knows WWF style. So any other Brand would become in essence, WWF-lite. The brand extention sould have worked something like this after the invasion.
WWF keep Raw, the roster stays other than one or two obvious transfers.
WCW get Nitro, maybe in the Smackdown timeslot. With say Benoit and Guerrero moving over to replace the workers who switch or wont get a job.
ECW gets split, with roster being diverted between brands and the one off ECW PPV going out annually, with a view to using Independant workers being tried out.
Thats a pretty easy set up, and fairly functionable. Yet somehow this idea seemed to evade the great minds at Titan Towers.
Vince is a great promoter, but knows sweet FA about wrestling.

Just look at the past ratings. They were big and steady and he didn´t need to do much. Just put some over guys, let the Originals do some "extreme rules match" and BAM instant 2.2. Now it dwells into 1.5 to 1.7 and if not by the "civil war" angle I bet there would be a down.

So how does being the champion of a brand who's sole purpose is to put you over make you credible?

When I first read this I thought "Yes! Finally" but honestly I feel bad about it, they were just trying to entertain us and a lotta jobs are at stake with this, I mean I honestly don't see them using Sabu or Tommy Dreamer on Raw or Smackdown to any great effect. It's a shame really, but if Vince can walk away from this and learn a lesson, then that would be great.

How about we send half to Raw, and half to Smackdown? Ill make a list: Ariel--Raw Mahoney--Raw Lashley--Smackdown Brooke--Smackdown Punk--Smackdown Burke--Raw Holly--Smackdown Styles--Possibly a manager? Kelly--Smackdown Thorn--Raw Layla--Smackdown Nunzio--Raw Cor Von--Raw Striker--Raw Knox--Smackdown Rebecca--Fired Dupree--Smackdown Van Dam--Smackdown Sabu--Smackdown Sandman--Raw Moore-Smackdown Snitsky--Raw Richards--Heat Tazz--? Test--Smackdown Dreamer--Raw Trinity--Raw Wowzzz Rebecca being fired and them keeping Nunzio is high optimism on your part. I could see half of that list being wished well in future endeavors when the time comes.

Except he didn't learn anything from the XFL, either. He just went and blamed NBC for dropping the ball on the concept. Hardly the attitude of a man who has been humbled by failure.

They need to really grasp the whole "brand thing". They're all the same show right now. They seem to get like this sometimes in between the Rumble and Wrestlemania because it's 2 interbrand PPVs separated by only one brand-exclusve PPV. And that's the smallest gap between two of the big four.
