Never said he utilized those skills. Just said saying he CAN'T wrestle is a stretch.

We get it, Lashley sucks. How about a thread that's NOT about Lashley or CM Punk?

Yes, because gorilla press slams and vertical suplexes have deep roots in amateur wrestling. I thought we all made this distinction long ago? If that's your criteria then 90% of the roster "cant wrestle" either. What the hell are you talking about? My point was that every single amateur wrestler that's stepped into a ring has had to learn how to 'pro' wrestle. An amateur background doesn't grant a golden ticket to greatness in a pro wrestling ring. Some of them have sucked at the transition very badly in fact. "Can't wrestle" wasn't meant literally.

Keep in mind folks, before arriving in the WWE Heidenreich was a MMA fighter. Can someone please tell me he was a Benoit in ring?

Besides I don't think Benoit exactly demolishes Lashley in the whole charisma/mic skills department if you take that into account, awesome though he is.

LOL CM Punk didn't win the elimination chamber and go on to win the rumble and face Cena and Batista to unite all 3 belts. All they did was have him go over a former intercontinental Champion clean tonight. Damn you WWE!

Hehe, yeah, well if Vince had someone like that he would divorce Linda, disowned his kids and live a new beginning life with this jacked up Lashley.

He's certainly better than other failed transitions such as Turkay. Blech.

My issue is that some people here (Im not trying to accuse you) are shitting on the guy because it's the trend. It seems like this happens ever year (see: Cena, John from around this time last year) Im not saying Lashley is Bret Hart in there, but he's no worse IMO than say, Goldberg, or Kane.

I'd like him a lot more if it weren't for the mega-push. It's WAY too soon. I mean, he still works like a mid-carder, he hasn't come close to polishing his style; not to mention he just looks completely lost when cutting an interview. It just feels really forced, and people(myself included) hate that.

I my find Lashley boring but, in no way would insult him (or Kane for matter) as bad as to say he is on par with Goldberg.

It was thought at the time that a main event push would be a good idea over the summer, but someone with power got too antsy and blew their load pushing him now. He should have been given a mouthpiece (or just been a silent killer)
