Look slowly they changed everything that was unique about ECW and bastardized it to make it look like WWE...for example....no more extreme rules matches except with stiffs like Lashley and Bob Holly that nobody cares about anymore.
entrance way- no longer coming through the crowd?.....i liked that idea and it looked very ECW like. now they just come down the regular old entrance way.
nitro girls....i mean extreme expose...who really gives a rats ass about these girls? i mean once a month isnt that bad....but not every freaking week.
snitsky, striker, holly, test, and knox for sabu, dreamer, rvd, punk, and sandman? how is it that guys that not a single fan in the world care about constantly kill the guys that are over and make them look retarded in the process.
you guys get my drift?
ecw blows
I watch it for Punk, RVD, Elijah Burke, Sabu, Dreamer, Sandman, Kevin Thorn, and Cor Von (gasp!) yeah I find the guy entertaining....so sue me

I agree that whereas they could have made ECW into a WWE alternative, they didn't. They basically made it into WWE Brand #3. I still like ECW, but I have accepted that it's not a WWE alternative. It is a Raw alternative, but it's still very much WWE.

it pains me because i hadn't watched wrestling for years until the One Night Stands.. and the resurrection of ECW intrigued me after Style's semi-shoot promo and all that, i really thought it was gonna be an alternative brand
now it just depresses me

Good matches (although the ending tonight were WTF) and good wrestlers. Still better than the majority of wrestling shows on TV now.

Soon ecw will fulfill its destiny and become VELOCITY!!! How ironic, seeing as Velocity's destiny was to become ECW. Fitting, I suppose...

Once you get used to it being a 3rd WWE brand, it's not quite so bad.
I thought tonight was one of their better shows.

Honestly Ecw lost its uniquness when it became the haven for every reject that couldnt get over on raw or smackdown. It started out by having big name non ecw wrestlers like Kurt Angle, and the Big show to brining in matt Striker, Terkay, Test, Snitsky, etc.

One of the things that really hurt ECW was during the early days of Big Show's reign. During the time where for no reason he'd face a random guy from RAW/SmackDown on a weekly basis.

I like ECW.. I'm dissapointed that they dont have as many hardcore matches too but if you over do it then it looses its effect.. I'm so excited for the next Ballroom show..

Was the new ECW ever unique to begin with? It seems like it's been Tuesday Night Heat from the start.
Incidentally, why is Matt Striker getting a push? I've never been entertained by him in any way; Striker doesn't impress me on the mic, his in-ring skills are subpar, and his gimmick is terrible. Also, if Striker is a former Social Studies teacher then why is he constantly acting like an English teacher.

the whole expose thing seems to be over with the crowd.. and who cares about RVD Sabu and the originals, I mean dont get me wrong they are awesome.. but you have to push new guys.. they cant last forever

I like his mic skills, gimmick and, in ring ablility, so we cancel each other out and then Vince makes the decision. Maybe that is why he has a push.

And if the ECW Originals are supposed to be putting the new talent over then they have to be credible in the fans' eyes. After all, it doesn't do much good for a wrestler if he beats a glorified jobber.
