"Continue being an ass" would imply that I was being an ass from the beginning. I wasn't. My reply there was illustrating how ignoring a person's actions just because of an occupational skill is ignorant. Your reaction would imply that I had a point. No one is trying to ignore what he did. I definitely am not. I was just opposed to you criticizing people who decide that they want to remember Benoit in a more positive light. Although this is a horrible tragedy, a few of us actually think that this shouldn't be the thing that defines who Benoit is. It's a little late for that. Regardless, I'll drop the issue. I feel a lock coming on anyway.

Gotta agree, this is just making us hate each other more by starting petty arguments. Perhaps all talk of Benoit should be suspended for a day or two, just to let the emotions die down just a tad. I agree with you guys. I'm getting too heated over people's comments here. Add me to that list. And if anything, and I mean *anything* I've said in the last two days has rubbed anyone the wrong way, I'm sorry.

www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2003560001-2007290539,00.html It gets worse his son had needle marks found on him, it looks like Benoit was giving him drugs. This is so messed up. It's believed his parents thought their son wasn't growing normally. And there's an article out of Canada where a woman claims Daniel Benoit had some syndrome I can't recall the name of at the moment.

Thats been brought up numerous times...it appeared his son had a medical condition called fragile x syndrome I think it was or something like that. He wasn't juicing up his kid. HGH has been around for a while and used for lots of things besides an alternative to roids.

We're taking quite a beating out there in other forums, guys and gals. Hell, over on Fark they are having a hey day over all of this and the so-called redneck, mullet wearing, uneducated wrestling fans. Even moreso, the level of stupidity and misinformation out there is absolutely astounding. I agree. There has indeed been a lot of stupidity and misinformation on this forum. Glad to hear the guys on Fark are wised up.

On Fark it's absolutely retarded. The "oh, the steroids made him do this" talk is incredible. All of a sudden, everyone is an expert on the drugs.

I think we all need to calm down, something like this should make us realize how precious life really is.

On Fark it's absolutely retarded. The "oh, the steroids made him do this" talk is incredible. All of a sudden, everyone is an expert on the drugs. Good point. I remember after the Columbine massacre, suddenly everyone was a psychologist who could analyze "Loners" and "Goths" and determine if "They would do it". I had a thing for long jackets a year before that happened. But I had a collection that was more stylized, like Edge or Raven's entrance coats. But once Columbine happened, you'd think I had been wearing a black duster for years. And suddenly, all my teachers and school counselors had a lock on me. This despite the fact that I don't know how to build a pipe bomb and have never even held a real gun. So I gotta go with you; when stories like this come up, suddenly everyone becomes an expert based on a quick glance at 13th hand information. That is NOT journalism; oh wait, yes it is.

Fark is a general news website where the moderators link to stories with a (usually) funny/snarky headline and where registered users can make comments. Almost everyone's comments are vitriolic on everything.

I love the "ten minute" line too. Even if there was a fourth party, you think they can tell in ten minutes? Let me guess, because the door wasn't kicked in then it had to be Benoit since no criminal has ever been able to enter a house without forcable entry? ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) Benoit was found hanging. Nancy was found quite obviously strangled to death (cord nearby, there would have been injuries on the neck). It would have been clear she was dead for several days, and that Benoit died much more recently (I won't get into the details about what happens to dead bodies, but this would have been clear at the scene). Could the investigators have thought that there was a 0.000005% chance that it wasn't what it looks like? I guess, but so that's roughly the odds that another wrestler will do the exact same thing today - it's pointless to speculate about either. Your comments about trials, etc, miss the point of those rights and the Constitution. People have rights. Trials exist only for that reason. Guilty people are aquitted all the time, a trial is not an exercise in determining what happened. It's an exercise of rights, and dead people don't have rights. Edit- And I do care about this board's reputation because I like it over here. Unlike the snobs at DVD, I think that generally, people here appreciate the humor and absurdity in this business, and there's some great posters and posts.

"Kevin Sullivan Speaks On Benoit, Chris Nowinski Date Added: June 27, 2007 Story By: Ryan Gray The New York Times published a lengthy article today on the Benoit Family Tragedy and included quotes from former WWE superstar Chris Nowinski as well as Nancy Benoit's ex-husband, former WCW star/booker Kevin Sullivan. Sullivan expressed his utter shock and praised Chris as a performer.
In the article, it was also noted that Nowinski is trying to persuade the coroner to allow a brain exam to look for neurofibrillary tangles in the brain's cortex. This has been refused in the past; however Nowinski has previously been able to link the suicide of NFL defensive back Andre Waters to concussion induced depression based on forensic work done on Waters' brain matter. "Part of me hopes there was something wrong with his brain," Nowinski told the Times. "The Chris Benoit I knew was always more concerned about everybody else's well-being than his own."
You can read the full article by clicking here.

Already half way to a new thread. I know. I suppose tragedy always gets the numbers up though. I think yesterday the record was set for most users online at the same time on this forum.
