So, What Exactly Was The Deal With Jeff?

I'm trying to make sense of this, so bear with me.

He wins the IC title, has the fans behind him to the point he's arguably the second most over guy on the brand on certain nights behind John Cena, and ..... well just re-read part 2. The guy is over as f***. Not to mention the Hardy signs and shirts covering lots of the crowd are unavoidable.

Great Khali ..... isn't. At all. Him and his head vice of doom. I'm talking pin drop action on most nights from the crowd.

I'm trying to make sense out of having Jeff Hardy get promo time, go face to face with McMahon, have the crowd fully behind him, and having Khali squash him. And make nooooo mistake about it, that was a total annihilation squash. It isn't going to make anyone who doesn't give a crap about Khali give a crap about him now. It isn't going to do Jeff one bit of good.

I'm not even saying Jeff has to beat him. But you mean they couldn't have had Khali beating his ass, Hardy land a strike or two off the top rope and in the very least stagger Khali in to the ropes? At least look like he's standing the slightest bit of a chance? You mean Khali couldn't have gotten frustrated by that, gotten his translator to get him a chair again, then have Batista make his save causing a DQ?

Maybe it's just me, but I don't get it at all. I was on the phone during this match and this is what I got on the other line.

"Jeff is going to slip out of the vice, just watch. Seriously, they wouldn't do something as dumb as a clean squash of Jeff Hardy.

Jeff draws, too. He had a painting that proves this point.

Khali could go through and defeat all the over babyfaces (minus Cena), Jeff, Matt, Punk, Hornswoggle, 'Taker, even Hunter and no one would still give a crap about the guy. That match was just a lot of nonsense trying to prove how monstrous Khali is leading into Sunday, and it failed 'cause he's The Great friggin' Khali.

Cena vs Khali got 2 good buy rates out of J-Day and ONS. Both were better then Backlash and Vengeance, so take it for what it's worth.

I believe Jeff wouldn't have gotten the title if Umaga wasn't being suspended. Jeff was the only one WWE could put it on, but Jeff is still being punished, imo.

Hardy being squashed doesn't really mean anything bad for him though cause he will still continue to be over. Its just really to make Khali look more impressive.
