Once Cena is out of the title picture, he'll probably get huge pops

He doesn't get booed because the marks are naive.

Unlimited cheers code + lack of talent invisibility code. Man, Batista must have a GameShark or something

Batista has clean losses more than once every two years. Really? Outside of the Undertaker, name one.

Batista looks better in a suit, and suits are in these days

Batista isn't as kid friendly as Cena so he might hold appeal to older fans who just want to see a big guy kick a$$.

Batista, his endless title shots aside, is still a big muscled guy who wears nice suits (albeit with bad clothing underneath), and kicks ass. In other words, a character that the many fans want to be like.
Does anyone want to be like Cena or empathize with him?

Unlimited cheers code + lack of talent invisibility code. Man, Batista must have a GameShark or something LOL. It would be funny if all of Batista's tatoos were actually disguised gameshark codes, like Scofield on Prison Break.

Batista is bigger and looks "stronger", so it's credible he can kick the crap out of guys like Khali.
But despite his size and strength, he CAN be beaten. Cena doesn't.
Batista looks strong but is vulnerable. Cena looks less strong, but for some reason he's almost invulnerable.
But all analysis aside, the fans love Batista.

I think there's a couple of factors in play: He's on Smackdown! which is pre-taped and they can do things like change the audio track He's in a fued with Khali, the worst grappler ever and Dave looks good by comparison He got the main event rub from Triple H And finally (and most importantly), what I like to call the Psycho Sid Vicious/Justice factor:Despite the fact he's crap in the ring, can't talk a lick and is involved in one horrible match after another, he's got a lot of muscles and looks like he can kick your ass.

LOL @ the clean losses.
Admittedly I don't watch Smackdown much, listening to JBL makes me want to go on a killing spree. But I can't recall Batista losing cleanly in recent memory except once with 'Taker. And after that all their matches putting them over as being too closely matched (double countout last man standing is retarded, BTW). He may lose clean is you define losing clean as letting the other guy get pinned in a three way or being too stupid to break the count before rolling an unconscious opponent into the ring, but not if you count it as being pinned or made to submit.

I didn't say clean, I said he lost. And there was a period where he was screwing up matches pretty bad where he kinda got demoted. Taker beat him, off hand, not that it meach much in wrestling-land.

Because not enough people watch SD. But more people watch Smackdown then Raw. Since it's on a network rather then Cable, it's a different system so if you look at it, more people watch Smackdown then Raw.

If unclean losses count, Cena's loss to K-Fed has to rank way above any of Batista's losses. I mean... c'mon... Federline? That little weasel probably still gets beaten up for his lunch money.

People have low expectations when they go to a Smackdown show. So they don't expect anything extraordinary.
When he shows up on Raw, the fans pop because he's something out of the ordinary.
