Again, just point out that some of us do not watch RoH, so it's all fresh and fruity fun for us.
Yay. It's about time something was....
I'm so happy. ;D

This just screams Nine Inch Nails year zero I mean come on it is just that.. Yep, but it's pretty original in pro wrestling, and originality hasn't really been a part of WWE these past few years. There is Project 161, but this is on a much larger scale.

I haven't read much in the other threads, but has it been brought up that the first "2" and last "2" could look like a "Y" and "J" in stylized writing?
Jericho: I've come to save World Wrestling Entertainment!
JR: Save it from what?

Not all of us are Nine Inch Nails fans or have access to ROH, so this is all good.
But we do all watch WWE, and the moment TNA trys their hand at this, all hell will break loose.

Yes it's 161 Take 2, but who cares? 161 was fun, so is this. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, after all. I'm very glad they're trying something like this. Freshen things up. It was fun with 161, and this has been awesome so far too. People were up until 3 in the morning on Monday analyzing that video. Can't beat that. I give you that. And the one thing I'm glad for is that no one on the board is hailing WWE as creative geniuses for coming up with this. There's an acknowledgement as to where the genesis for this is coming from with Year Zero and ROH. But to do it in 2 weeks? I don't Jericho's coming back at No Mercy. If they were smart, they would stretch this out to the RR, and have Jericho come back as a mystery entrant, or to Survivor Series. But we'll see how long this good will lasts when it turns out to be Atlas DaBone.

I doubt we'll see this big debut or re-debut at No Mercy on such short notice. I think they'll do something big to make the people who haven't noticed this yet aware of what's up. I wish this would stretch to Royal Rumble myself, or a Raw before it at least.

I think they should make it more public at No Mercy, run it out on Raw, start it off proper at S.S then finish it as the 30th Entry in the RUmble

Does anyone remember exactly how far in advance the Millenium Countdown began?

Well it would make more sense to tie it in with Cyber sunday with the cyber thing
but Cyber SUnday has a history of low buyrates and sucking big fat ones. SO meh

Does anyone remember exactly how far in advance the Millenium Countdown began? He signed with WWF on June 30th, 1999 so no earlier then that.

Can someone give me a quick overview of the RoH happenings that were similar to this? they left flyers talking about taking down the company referring to themselves as project 161. the company did not acknowledge it. the flyers led to a website, which was updated frequently with mysterious pictures and clues, and also linked to a blog which featured dark themed writings. this led to a member of the roster bringing in two indie names and starting a stable at the 161st show. that is basically a rough overview.
