As an aside, looking back, I think it'd been cool if they kidnapped the godfather for the ministry and turned him back into Papa Shango

Evil Wizard 'Taker(Ministry) was by far my favorite. I know I'm in a HUGE minority, but I hated the "American Badass" Undertaker. If he had been "American Badass" Mark Calloway, it might have worked for me, but as it stood, it just screwed up the 'Taker character.

The American Badass was a good gimmick, if it hadn't been used for 'Taker. however, it did work. Undertaker was "American Badass's" Biker handle. Skull, 8-Ball, and Chainz were neither Skulls, 8-Balls, nor Chainz. Discuss.

I was a big fan of Satanic Undertaker. If not that, then American Badass.

The Original Undertaker.
The one you didn't really know if he was a weirdo dressed like in the 19th century or some sort of undead creature.
As time went by, they "evolved" the character with some good and some bad ideas, til all of them gave birth to the awful BastardTaker we're watching now...

The original Undertaker was far more subtle and less cartoonish. He didn't need to summon lightning or teleport.

I like Taker summoning lightning and teleporting.

Unstoppable Monster, with Deadman a close second. I couldn't stand American Badass and I prefer him as a tweener/face.

I grew up with the Unstoppable Monster of 1990-1994. Bitch about all the no-selling, but as a kid I just ate it right up. I also have to say the look of that particular era, with the coat, the hat, the tie, and the gloves is probably my favorite Undertaker look ever. So that gets my vote.

I honestly hate the Deadman Undertaker. It's just a bad combination of the original Undertaker and the American Bad Ass and it really dosen't work. To me the Ministry Taker was the best since he had awesome promos and did alot of shocking things which made great tv and the Austin/Taker feud was great.

See..the American Badass character can be broken down into two sections as he was both face and heel as this character. I will always prefer the satanic, half-beard version of 'Taker..but I loved his heel American Badass run..despite the fact it took me a while to get used to the short hair.

Since there's no option of 'Attitude Undertaker' of 1998, I'll go with Satanic/Ministry Taker. Even when I was thirteen, his look scared the hell out of me.

I have to add as well that I honestly didn't get to see most of the "Satanic" Undertaker of late 98/99. Between TSN here in Canada HEAVILY editing Undertaker content during that period, and my parents not letting me watch anything Undertaker-related (I was only 11 at the time), I never really got a good feel for that phase of his character. Interesting that it turns out to be the most popular vote.
