Tom Hanks with the AIDS, opening the can of the ass whip, stomping a mud pie, beating him like some kind of livestock, Jillian/Lillian, bargain bin at the gas station, sipping beer and making ugly faces = GOLD, BROTHER!
Santino is so freaking funny. I LOL'd at his promo last night.
With that being said, I think it is a crying shame that they are using Santino and his promos (which reek of awesomeness) to bring back Austin for one night to get in the ring, probably say nothing, give him a Stunner, drink 27 beers, and then leave, never to be heard from again, or until he needs another paycheck, whichever comes first.
I like Austin and all, but his time as a useful part of the show is over. It is kinda like Foley. The more they use him in random, useless roles that don't really make any sense, the more watered down and unimportant his random, useless cameo returns will be.

I disagree with the "funny" part, but I do absolutely agree that they shouldn't be wasting Santino's "rising star" to promote a one night Austin comeback. If Santino's so great, promote him, don't use him to promote Austin's "one night only comeback" for the umpteenth time.

Funny how the IC face Santino had people calling for his head and wanting him fired... Babyface Santino = Bland & not interesting Heel Santino = Funny & Brilliant Doesn't take a smart person to figure out that one. Guess it doesn't take smart people to realize that some people just need a change of character and not seen the door right away...

Does anyone find him annoying yet? I really find him annoying oh dear lord diva search winner announced.... Sorry anyway back to Santino, It was cool for awhile but it's just annoying now. He is WAY overrated and being called some savior of a mediocre wrestling show. Saddest thing? He's supposedly the "best thing" about RAW. When the best thing about a two hour wrestling program is a stereotyped ethnic character that doesn't wrestle, there's a greater problem to confront.

Pro wrestling is, and has been for the past 50+ years, about entertainment inside and outside of the ring. To be fair, Santino is a lot more entertaining than all of those weekly squash matches we got in the pre-Attitude Era as well.

Funny how the IC face Santino had people calling for his head and wanting him fired... Who does that remind you of? Whoa, whoa, whoa...let's not get carried away with ourselves. Let's see if he's taken this time of doing just promos and segments to improve his ring skills before we even think of uttering his name in the same breath as one Dwayne Johnson.

Thank you for not insulting me like some people have in the past. I would rather see actual "wrestling" than sketches. And even though sketches are part of wrestling, they don't have to be insulting charicatures of differing minorities. While some people find it to be "comedy gold", others find it insulting, like myself. "To each his own." I do not like Santino Morella. I was excited to see him in the WWE from what I heard in OVW but what the E has made him into is, in my opinion, insulting. Was "tough guy submission wrestler" too limited for his character? Or is it that the writers saw an opportunity to do what they're so good at and have this guy "Speak-a like-a dis and-a speak-a like-a dat, you summabish!"? "To each his own." If you love him, think he's all aces, keep loving him. Just wanted to get that out. Thank you.

It's like that episode of Are You Being Served? where Mr. Humphries dresses like an Italian gangster. "You no speaka to my papa like-a DAT! Else I spread you across the wall like-a jam-a."

To be devil's advocate though, Eddie Guerrero was kind of an over the top hispanic stereotype and I don't remember anyone complaining.

I thought the skits he and Chavo did were just as insulting. How many minority wrestlers DON'T have stereotype gimmicks and they've worked in the WWE to great success or even decent success? If they'd done Santino as just this "mean ass, UFC-type submission wrestler from Italy" and didn't go all "that's-a spicy meat-a-ball-a" with him, it still would've worked.

And I very much doubt he would over, especially considering his size. As it is he's getting mega over as a certifiable heel. I personally see no offence in the character. Wrestling isn't to be taken seriously and Santino is just downright hilarious in my view.

I'll admit that on paper, Santino does merely have the gimmick of "over the top stereotype", but he really seems to have a natural charisma where he makes the gimmick work. I bet that if most guys were given this gimmick, it would just come across as really cheesy (pun?) like Salvatore Sincere or something. But Santino seems to really have made this character HIS, and he is making it work.

Anyone who says they dislike Santino I assume is a troll I was threatened by a mod at another forum for expressing my appreciation of Santino. On-topic: I can't see his run ending good. I envision either Stone Cold or the IWC loverboy Jericho squashing him, thus killing his heat like Hogan killed Vader.
