Does anyone think Santino should get (kayfabe) Mafia connections, possibly after his inevitable beating by the Texas Rattlesnake

Nope. It'd potentially put him at risk.

I think he should talk about having connections but obviously be lying.

Only if his connection is Tony Marinara.

Could be a fun little stable
I'd rather him just keep doing what he's doing

Aye I suppose him obviously lying about them would be better for his character of an Italiano goofball, Maria could say she wants to meet Tony Soprano and Santino has to dress up someone like Highlander Robbie in a fat suit and gangster clothes.

I think it'd be great if Santino had something going with "Captain" Lou Albano. Two very good talkers with bigmouth gimmicks.

No, because Mafia gimmicks never last long.

No thanks.
Santino is still walking on thin ice with his "all talk, no wrestling" gimmick, and throwing in the Mafia would make things worse, basically turning him into just another Italian-American stereotype

I hate Dan Maff, and so does Homicide, so I'll say no.

There is no mafia.
Also, Tajiri was afraid to call his group The Yakuza because a fear of reprisals.
So yeah, stables shouldn't be named after real groups.
The Nation of Islam Domination.
etc.

Only if they make it really comedic and have them be like the comedy versions of the FBI in ECW. They need to mock Godfather and The Sopranos and have Nunzio and and maybe Jamie Noble as well because he's doing nothing at all and was Nunzio's cousin oh and maybe bring up Jacob Duncan and give him a silent italian oaf like gimmick.

For pro-wrestling standards, the stereotyped references are moderate and not-so-prominent. Besides his broken English, the small Italy badge on his jacket and his jealousy, he's quite neutral...
