Last night, I saw a commercial for a special investigation on CNN. It's called, "Death Grip: A Look Inside Professional Wrestling." It had a picture of Benoit holding the WHC in the background. I think it airs on Wednesday night. Sounds kind of tasteless to call it Death Grip and show Benoit. I wonder what else they will get into besides the steroids and painkiller stuff.

Yeah, but that's like calling a special on OJ Simpson "Murder Slide" or something tasteless.

Maybe CNN is getting into the wrestling game again with Benoit as their world champ.

Uh... Benoit DID kill his family... Well, yeah...I mean, using that name when the families are still going through rough times is kind of touchy. I'm not offended by it, just wondering why they would choose that title. I wonder if they'll go deeper into the whole "Stunt Granny" situation. I was just letting you guys know about the show, I'm all for making jokes about it.

Well, in CNN's defense, the original name of the special investigation was going to be called "Headlocks, Homicides, and Hidden Homoeroticism". I think "Death Grip" won't offend as many wrestling fans as the former.

I don't see anything wrong with the name myself.

How dare they tarnish the good name of Chris Benoit, murderer of only two family members.
Show some tact, CNN.

Who's writing this stuff? Dennis Miller in another failed attempt at humor regarding wrestling. Colonel Kataffy up to his old tricks again. But seriously, what is this show suppose to be about? Judging from the description of the commerical, its suppose to be about death and wrestling. Judging from the forum responses, it suppose to be about the Benoit case. If it's about the Benoit case, then the title Death Grip is just media sensationalism in an attempt to get ratings. Think Blood on the Blackboard: The Bart Simpson Story. But if its about death and wrestling, I'm very offended. If that is the topic of the show its going to be full of inaccuracies and flat out lies just to get Sally Soccermom to not let little Johnny watch WWE. After all, this is the same CNN that gave a list of wrestler's who died from drug related causes in recent years and included Owen Hart and JYD. One fell out of a ceiling and the other died in a car accident.
