Ok, I know alot of people here were pissed when they found out Hornswoggle was Vince's (kayfabe) son, but in all seriousness, would it really matter who it turned out to be? Some say it should've been Kennedy, but he apparentally screwed himself by violating the drug policy, however I don't think he was ever planned to the son. They made hints about it being Kennedy, but that would've been too easy to figure out.
Plus, I couldn't take the angle seriously, especially when Triple H brought out random sluts Vince slept with awhile back. Who would've gained from the angle? Unless you're Triple H, nobody is guaranteed lifetime employment. That person would be stuck as a McMahon.
I'm glad the angle ended on a light-hearted note because it had nothing to do with wrestling in the first place. And no matter who the son turned out to be, we would still get the same amount of backlash on these boards. I never saw how the angle would work no matter how it was booked. Thats just me though.

Apart from the obvious holes that the story had, it could've been good.
I think that the plan was to eventually make Mr. Kennedy the son and have him feud with Triple H, but when Kennedy was suspended, they more or less scrapped the angle and made it comedy filler (which is why Hornswoggle was named as the child).
To be honest, I'm not actually expecting it to last much longer - they don't have enough continuity to keep Hornswoggle as the son in the coming years, not to mention that it's just ridiculous and dumb.

Then Kennedy will turn face after Vince and Hornswoggle file Child Abuse charges for the Green Bay Plunge off of the ladder at wrestlemania.

I think it was just meant to be a silly, light angle after the Benoit tragedy. People needed a laugh and the WWE gave it to them. I don't see that as being at all bad.

It was pretty bad for WWE, though, as they did a 3.9 on the night of the reveal, and then fell to a 3.3 the week after. They haven't got back up since.  |

You guys may not like it, but I wish they would do more stuff like this. It made me excited to watch every week. Thats what it used to be like, you guys can blame bad wrestlers and such but its the "storylines" that are the issue. There is never anything that makes you go "Man, I cant wait till next week, I have to wait a whole week! Jeez!" Instead when RAW is over its more like "Oh its over, ok. Lets see what else is on"
