Let's face it, the guy is average at best. He's done nothing of note for the past 10 years, nowadays he's a 6/10 worker who can't cut decent promos. ECW Stevie was good, don't get me wrong. But the undeserved worship he gets on here from some people is scary. *ducks* hey u better watch it buddy you could possibly piss alot people on this forum off saying things u just said

Here we go with the IWC stuff again. Why can't we all like Stevie cuz we just do? Why must we be some big conspiracy theory group? I liked him long before I found the internetz. When given the chance he is hilarious and a very solid worker. Obviously he's good enough, he's kept his job all these years. I am the same. I don't like Stevie for any 'IWC' reason. I like him cause I like him. Before I discovered any wrestling message boards I watched old ECW and WWF footage, whether from tapes or The Rise and Fall DVD, and I liked him. I think his promos have always been pretty solid, and he's a fairly solid wrestler. He's not the best at anything, but he's a solid all-rounder who I would love to see on TV more often, simply because I enjoy him. He was one of the only heels (if not, the only one) who I rooted for back when I was a mark. It's the same with me and Khali. I accept he can't cut a promo, and is a fairly poor wrestler, but I still like the big lug. However I don't fully get the Snitsky and Venis fandoms. I think they're both mildy entertaining, but nothing fantastic. Butthat's only my opinion.

I like his wrestling, it's sufficient though, at best. Mic work's good at times though.

Since joing in the new ECW, he's shown more enthusiasm and wrestling than more than half of the ECW roster. Yes, there's only like ten friggin' guys, but only three of them can wrestle AND have a decent ring presence. The rest are rejects from the "big" shows and soon to be wished the best in their future endeavors.

Richards' following is a mix of everything. He has an above-average amount of talent/charisma and he's booked to be an underdog, which eggs on the desire to get behind him.
I'm not a fan of him in particular, but he does stand out as one of the better guys- in the current ECW locker room, that is.
When showcased, he hangs with the entire WWE roster as far as being entertaining. Still, I don't think he stands head and shoulders above the roster as a whole, and I don't think he would even if he reverted back to the King Of Swing persona.

I haven't really noticed Richards' ring presence at all, and I guess neither has the crowds they've gone in front of. He's ok, but I'm surprised he's still employed.

I don't have a problem with the pro-Stevie people, but I never understood this board's Snitsky fixation. I think it started as a joke that Snitsky was so bad he was funny in a weird way but it seems to have taken a life of its own.
