for being a heel? I'm not talking because you find him boring or any type of x-pac heat, I mean in a way where you want him to get his ass kicked by a face. As we all know, back in 2000, Triple H dominated the scene with his fued with The Rock. I may have been 13 at the time, but I wanted The Rock to win the fued(which he eventually did). When Triple H was in the process of making a face turn during his fued with Kurt Angle, I marked out, because, if history tells you anything, successful heels can(but not always) get over as faces. When Triple H attacked "Stone Cold" Steve Austin with the sledgehammer, I was really mad, and wanted The Texas Rattlesnake to get his revenge, which he did. Even though I'm more educated with the business and I'm 20 years old, I can still hate heels for that purpose. Before Wrestlemania 23, when Umaga and Vince McMahon were beating up Eugene and shaving his head, I somehow wanted Umaga to get his ass kicked because of his savage behavior. How about you?

Orton's decimation of Cena's father was a major heat thing. I mean, I'd hate to have to watch my own father be injured, so that definitely worked on me.

Shockingly enough, it was when HHH was taking advantage of Eugene during the days when Eugene was actually booked as a multidimensional character.

Probably Trips first big run as a top heel in 99.

Elijah Burke skeeves the hell out of me. Something up his body language - he gets just a little too close into people's personal space and holds his chin just a little too high. And that smile. And the little girl panties he wear in the ring. I appreciate the hell out of his work as a heel; AND I genuinely mark out for wanting him to get his ass whupped. Threatening and skeevy at the same time.
Lately he's been more toned down and just fed to Punk; not nearly as good.
I can't think of another heel on the roster that's true of. Booking heels (other than himself) hath always been Vince's great weakness, and now is especially weak.
Actually though, Orton's been doing a decent job lately.

I think MVP is being booked amazingly well as a heel. I can't wait to see Matt Hardy finally just lose it and knock his ass out.

Probaly HHH or John Cena as a face. Yeah, the last one doesn't count. And for me, I'd say Jericho during his feud with the Rock in 2001. Not in the sense that Jericho was legitimately pissing me off, but I really enjoyed it when Rock got the upper hand on him- much in that same way back in 1999 when he debuted in the WWF.

We're talking kayfabe hate, right? Probably Degeneration X during their first go-round. Every other heel since then has, at the most, just annoyed me. JBL came close, though. That "wrestling god" crap was beginning to get on my nerves.

Probably Trips first big run as a top heel in 99. Yeah, I pick from when he was feuding with Foley from this time. I wanted to see Cactus demolish him, and they put on some of the BEST matches EVER in this time period.

For me it was probably The Rock as 'Corporate Champ'. I think it was a combination of his mic work ("this aint a damn singalong with The Rock") and the BRUTAL "I Quit" match with Foley @ RR99

Maybe I'm in the minority, but in 20+ years as a fan I've never kayfabe hated a guy. I just enjoy their heel character or don't.
I also don't "hate" the Joker in Batman. I just think he's an awesome bad guy. Does that make sense?

I despised HHs character for a while, but loved him for getting his desired reaction.

I don't think I've really hated a heel since I was very young (I'm 28 now.)
Most of the time I root for heels because they're often pretty funny. Back when JBL was champ I knew I could count on him coming out for an inring promo with a big smile on his face after a successful title defense, and saying some plain funny stuff.
MVP does that kind of thing as well, regardless of whether he wins or loses a match. Also to a lesser extent, Edge.

Being the huge Kennedy mark that I am, when Edge stole the briefcase from Mr. Kennedy I was legit pissed at Edge when he stole the briefcase. I seriously didn't see that coming and had read nothing prior to that. When I found out he might be injured, I got even more mad!

I kayfabe hated Triple H in 1999-2000. Those were still his best heel years, IMO. 2002 onwards was when it turned to legit hate.
