You know, it's crazy. You gotta wonder what Master's was thinking since his dad died from drug use.
And DH Smith, wow, how many times is this dude gonna f*** up? What's this, his 3rd violation? Jeez.
(Just breaking the monotony, everyone has said the same f***ing thing for 10 pages.)

It's Hit the press.
Source:Lordsofpain.net
The Associated Press picked up the story on the suspensions of WWE stars Harry "D.H." Smith and Chris Masters this evening, running the following article over the national wires:
WWE suspends 2 wrestlers for violations of drug policy
November 2, 2007
STAMFORD, Conn. -- World Wrestling Entertainment said Friday it has suspended two wrestlers for violating its drug policy.
The company identified the performers as Chris Mordetsky and Harry Smith. It's the second suspension for Mordetsky, who wrestles under the name Chris Masters. He's been suspended for 60 days. Smith, who wrestles as D.H. Smith, was flagged with his first violation and will be sidelined 30 days, said WWE spokesman Gary Davis.
Under the WWE substance abuse and drug testing policy begun last year, which requires tests for steroids and other drugs, a wrestler faces a 30-day suspension without pay for a first violation, a 60-day suspension for a second violation and firing for a third violation. Performers are tested at least four times per year.
The Stamford-based company would not identify the drugs for which either man tested positive. The WWE suspended 10 wrestlers in August for drug violations but did not identify them. As part of its new policy that began Thursday, the company now identifies the performers. Davis would not comment on whether Mordetsky one of the 10 suspended this summer.
"WWE is very serious about eradicating the use of steroids and the abuse of prescription drugs," Davis said. "And we hope by making the names of our performers public it that will be a further deterrent to the other performers."
The WWE said the Augusts suspensions were based on independent information from the Albany County New York District Attorney's Office, which has been investigating illegal sales of steroids and growth hormones.

its sad that Smith got suspended... you think both would have learned, Masters from his other suspension, and Smith from his father

Let's also take into account some of these guys here.....Triple H is smaller than he was before so is Batista. Having a certain look will obviously help you get a push but wrestling has always been and will always be that way...
It's extremely hard to get fans to buy into guys who don't have a certain look.

All I can do is shake my head in disbelief.
Masters I saw coming. Smith, on the other hand ....
Let me share a story.
My (half-)brother watched his father (my first stepfather) die from cancer caused by smoking when my brother was only 9 years old. Since that day, he was vowed never to smoke. As far as I know, he's made good on that promise.
I live with the kid and I smoke, and my mother also smokes. He has access to cigarettes on a daily basis, but he still never smokes. (NOTE: I smoke outside 90% of the time to protect him from secondhand smoke.) He made a promise, because HE WATCHED HIS FATHER DIE A SLOW, PAINFUL DEATH, and he has stuck with it for the past seven years, and to be honest, I see him sticking with it forever.
Now, DH Smith watched his father die from drug abuse. I don't know what drugs killed the British Bulldog, and at this point in time it is moot. The fact of the matter is, Davey Boy Smith died a drug-related death. His son should really know better.
Granted, everyone should know better, but really ... if a 16-year-old kid can figure out that "______ is bad," shouldn't a 20-something adult? Especially when he knows his job is on the line.
DH, you want to honor your father's memory? Get clean. I don't care if it's painkillers, steroids, weed, coke, heroin, whatever. STOP DOING DRUGS. Your dad was one of the best in-ring performers I've seen in my life, and you come from a strong bloodline that shows you could do the same. Do not[/u][/b] screw this up. Learn from your mistakes. Serve your suspension, and in that time, either go to rehab or seek help or buy some self-help books ... something. Just please, PLEASE, do not become another Eddie Gilbert, Brian Pillman, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit (DEAR GOD PLEASE DON'T BECOME ANOTHER BENOIT!) or DAVEY BOY SMITH.
If you want to follow in your father's footsteps, you have to draw the line somewhere. Don't let this ruin your life like it ruined (and ended) his.

God damn it. I don't care and would expect this type of crap from Masters but why Harry? I hope someone SERIOUSLY gets through to him about this. I want to see this guy succeed.

I know that practically everything that can be said on this topic has been said, to the point where everyone's just repeating the post above them -- so I thought I'd make a metaphor equating our feelings on these two performers and our desire to smurf women. Chris Masters: Abnormally big features; probably applies too much makeup in order to compensate; never gets any lovin' unless she happens to find a 60-year old man with a fetish for said abnormally big features AND Harry Smith: Of British descent; looks to have decent talent in the smurfing department; even though her mom died from STDs, she apparently isn't capable of keeping her legs closed either; makes mistakes but we'll still love her unconditionally, because she's so hot and all the other women in her family are, too (including the one in pink who's ridiculously hot and knows it but can't hold a job to save her life)

I couldn't care less about Masters, but Smith... Man just stupid. Wasted a great opportunity. BTW I have not read the first ten pages of this thread, so I'm sure this has been said over and over.

Good for them! I wish more wrestlers would do more drugs more often. The quality of these shows has gone down since the Wellness Policy has been put in place. Wrestlers on drugs is very important for the WWE to get back on track. Instead of crucifying Smith and Masters, we should be praising them about sending a message that "I take drugs and I'm proud of it." If I had a son in pro wrestling, I would want him to take any drug that's out there so that he can be chiseled and get a push.

Harry Smith is a hypocrite for publically saying he'd stay away from that stuff (HBO's Real Sports?), and doing it anyway. That's pretty infuriating. What a liar. At least Teddy Hart was honest enough to say he'd do "whatever it took" to get ahead.
And Masters is a huge dumbass. If Masters thinks that roids is his ticket to the main event, he should realize that he's never going to be a WWE main eventer, even if he was 400 pounds of rock hard muscle. That ship had sailed about two years ago. Dude should've worried about saving his kidneys, liver, and hairline instead.

Wouldn't you want your son to get into drugs if he was in wrestling? Wouldn't you want him to stand out by being freakishly bigger and massive? In fact, we should all be encouraging our kids to take drugs for any sport, not just wrestling. Talent can only take you so far, you know.

.......Brilliant analysis, Jr. Morrison........ Anyway, back to the heart of the matter, I think it's important to sumarize the debate by stating that yes, Smith is a dumbass, and Chris Masters is a bigger dumbass, but the biggest dumbass move has been made by those who breed this industry's thought process that bigger is better at the box office. You can put any wellness policy into place you like, and catch people for all sorts of various offenses, but until something is done to change the product itself, i.e., take it from the musclebound ding dongs that rule TV on Monday and Friday nights and devalue their behavior by promoting talent instead of enhanced buffoonery, whatever wellness policy you employ will only result in a product failure. It's time for the WWE to get out of the dark ages and start putting value in the art of professional wrestling instead of this steroid enduced sports entertainment BS we've been subjected to since 1984.

Personally, I could care less if these guys are shortening their lives by 30 years. However, seeing how performance enhancers are a no-no these days, I'm curious as to why these clowns thought they would beat the system. MANswers is just a fictional show, guys. Geez!
Fire both for being stupid, and make an example of them. DH as far as I'm concerned blew it.

Ok, ok, seeing as people can't see how over the top and ridiculous my argument was (geez, how do some of you get through your day?), I guess I have to spell it out...it was a joke. Few, if anybody offered nothing more than the "Masters is a dumbass and Smith is repeating the mistakes of his father " lookalike posts for over 10 pages, as if you posting it is something earth shattering.
I thought putting in a ridiculous and indefensible argument would break the monotony of this thread and people would get it. I was wrong.
