Olympic athletes are suspended for 4 YEARS if they are busted for drugs. WWE "superstars" however, suspend their talent for 30 days and after that, they get back where they left off. That in my opinion is absolutely, positively, f**cking bulls***.
To prevent the death rate, I would introduce an off-season. For Raw and Smackdown guys, it would be from May-October, and have ECW wrestlers compete during that time.
Also, reduce the schedule a bit as well and actually make wrestlers employees rather than "independent contractors." Wrestler's don't need to constantly fly around the world to put on shows for their increasingly jaded fans.
State-wide athletic commission sanctioning might help as well. If the Box y Lucha commission in Mexico oversees a "fake" sport, why can't the American state commissions? It would be interesting to see how many wrestlers who work for the WWE able to get wrestler's licences.

^ Exactly, when has McMahon pushed normal-looking people instead of guys who look like He-Man? Almost never (about the only time I can think of was HBK/Bret, and that was during the last steroid scandal) Mick Foley? CM Punk? He only pushed Punk because of the drug bust, otherwise Morrison would probably still be champ. He needed somebody who didn't juice to deflect media attention. Anyway, good examples.

As for Harry, I am very upset. I suggest someone very respected in that locker room sit him down one-on-one and talk with this kid. Just saying steroids are bad and deadly is obviously not enough in this company. Make him understand. The sad thing is, who would be qualified to do so? More and more, I get the impression that it's a shorter list of people who aren't on any illegal substances than those who are.

LOL I think it's great that they released the names. About damn time. Maybe these idiots will understand that the "E" isn't messing around.
With that said I'm dissapointed in Smith. But like father like son. Smith could be huge in this biz. He just better get his head outta his ass. getting suspended not even 30 days into his exposure is not a good thing.
As for Masters? What an idiot. Just fire the f***!!!!!

Just got back from a long weekend, and I seriously can't believe Harry got popped. What the hell, kid? Steroids contributed to the death of your dad. You should know better.

You guys make it sound like humans learn from the mistakes of our parents when 9 times out of ten we repeat them. We really aren't better than that. If we were there'd be no ghettos.

It would be interesting to see how many wrestlers who work for the WWE able to get wrestler's licences. For one thing the WWE has nothing to do with the Olympics. Apples to oranges and different rules for different organizations. Pro wrestling is about generating a profit whereas in theory the Olympics are non profit. Would it make capitalistic sense to suspend a star wrestler for four years when he can always go to another rival wrestling promotion in that time period and compete against the WWE for four years. Do you know how complicated it would get if the WWE were subject to state athletic commissions or the logistics of making sure every wrestler confirmed to every states regulations. Remember the WWE tours all over America and not just one state. The last thing we need anyway is more government interference anyway. As far as Mexico and what they do to sanction wrestling- it is irrelevant to the United States. Totally different nation with different laws.
