Santino definitely destroyed Austin on the mic. He was hitting everything while Austin was reciting the same old tired stuff. I don't mind that he got laid out by the stunner because he upstaged Austin in this one.
Notice Austin's face when he saw Maria? Bet that's the look in his face he used to get when he saw Debra if you know what I mean...

Santino can build his heat with his mic work but at some time he will need to win a match against a big name. Mick Foley would be the choice. I have a the two ears mick he only hava the one, hello mick can you hear me... no because a you ear is a missing, have a the day which is a good

I totally agree that Santino out staged Austin on the mic.
If I was writing the show, I would have Santino come out next week with a neck brace, bruised up a bit, and give a speech where he says that despite what happened last week, everything is ok now because after things settled down, he was able to talk to Cold Stone Steve Austin and he admitted to him that the Condemned sucked. And that Cold Stone even gave Santino the 5 bucks he made off the movie to pay for Maria's dry cleaning.
Something to that nature. I really hope they push Santino because I am really enjoying his work.

But the Rock makes a run in to plug his new straight-to-DVD movie and wins the match... I do believe his last movie was actually a hit. And the Rock doesn't make any appearances every other week on Raw, so it's not like he could be in that category with Austin/Foley. |
