ECW on Tuesday night did a 1.2 cable rating, down from a 1.6 rating last week.
Gerweck.net
After a Graveyard Smash last week, ECW slips back down to 1.2.
Ugh. Time for a snide shot at a favorite so...I guess having Punk in the main event isn't as interesting as some may think...

I dunno how ratings work, I turned the tv off last week before the battle royal but I was interested in the Morrison/Punk match.
Maybe because it was Halloween made people tune in?

Wow, that's a HUGE drop for one week.
If they keep going like this, I fear they will drop below 1.0

If they keep going like this, I fear they will drop below 1.0 It's just my opinion, but I don't think so. 1.2 seems to be the "set" number of people who watch the show. It's where they seem to "bottom out." So all the interest that the Halloween show gathered seems to have disappeared...nearly instantly. It really doesn't make sense. Therefore, I blame Kelly Kelly and Layla.

The roster is too weak. What happened with merging with Smackdown?

With the amount of Miz & Morrison on this week's show, I'm surprised it didn't go into negative numbers. BTW, no quarter breakdowns?

Considering the damn mainevent started AFTER the overrun had began you can't blame Punk/MOrrison.
Honestly, it was a REALLY weak show last night, and I love ECW.

They need to drop the 5 match formula, everything seems too rushed

They need to drop the 5 match formula, everything seems too rushed it would have been a lot less rushed if they didnt cram the first 4 matches into the first 35 minutes, then spend the last 30 minutes on commercials, 2 promos for the main event, the Miz and Morrison segment, and 1 match. They spent more time on promos for the main event than the match lasted

That sounds just about right for them to do that. It's like they know would work and it's in there face but they keep saying, "Naw. Let's try this instead."

Damn, Let Brooke go and ratings fall.
If your main angle is Punk,Miz, Morrison. Can't expect too much more.

WWE needs to start treating ECW as important. Right now they're treating it as the C brand, and so fans are viewing it that way. It's not that hard to understand. And the roster is another big factor as well. Stacking it with hosses and WWE lifers isn't going to change that. They need A list stars on the show. Of course, that's easier said than done. As we've seen, something bad ALWAYS happens when a big name is moved to ECW.

Why wouldn't they do an ECW Rebound on Raw and Smackdown more often?

Noble and Nunzio are great. I'd rather see them wrestle 100 times than see Mark Henry vs Kane 1 time. Seriously, Henry has been wrestling 10 years and he still can't put together a watchable match. Maybe that's why ECW's ratings dropped, fans tuned in and saw Henry vs Kane and said "this sucks, screw this" and turned it off.
