So, I just got my Oct issue of WWE magazine yesterday and theres a part where Batista talks about what it was like wrestling theUndertaker at Wrestlemana.
I dont have in infront of me to quote exactly, but at one point he said something like;
I probably got a lot of heat after that match because as soon as I went back stage I was yelling "Follow that!"
What a douche.

So he is a douche because he felt he had a great match (which he did) and didn't feel the ECW Originals vs The New Breed could possibly follow it (which it didn't)?

He was proud of what was by most accounts a really nice match. I wouldn't fault him too much.
I respect him a little more lately for his words of praise of Jamie Noble.

While I'm not defending it, apparently it had somehting to do with both him and Taker being unhappy about the match's spot on the card.

I heard Shawn Michaels used to do that a lot. Even when he was the last match on the card.......really. It's in his book.

I think that's the same mag where he said:
"The ECW fans booed me because they only cheer for tables, ladders and chairs"
about his match with Big Show. Which is complete bull.

How did I know that this was going to be a small selected quote from a pargraph in a magizine or book taken out of context, rather than a story of someone meeting Batista?

I'm sorry (and I don't mean to just continuously and blindly stick up for Batista) but If he really did make that comment, I wouldn't go so far as to say that it's complete bull, mabe just a tad over the line. I Mean, it may not be popular to say, but If you have an ECW event at the hammerstien ballroom (unless it's a REALLY scientific match) and there aren't any tables or fire involved, the crowd will chant "we want tables" or "we want fire". I'm not trying to justify the decision of having Big Show vs Batista at an ECW show at the hammerstien ballroom.

Seems to happen at WWE shows. ECW fans would just boo a match they didn't like. ..Liiiiiiiiiike..Batista vs Show.

I'm sorry, but you're not allowed to criticize him. The guy's crappy ringwork which is viewable on free TV, crappy promos which are viewable on free TV, and the way he shoots off his mouth to the public in interviews and in his awesome book, are simply not reason enough to be down on him. In order to truly form an opinion of him, you need to know him personally, which no one here obviously does. Therefore, Batista is beyond reproach and should never be criticized because we don't know him personally. Even though the guy is a performer, and everything he does in public, in front of everyone, sucks all kinds of ass.

FBI Dark match. Oh wait, I was there, that didn't happen.

He even admits what he does in the ring is much less than he can do. He just says it wouldn't fit his character to be a ring technician. I think he might be telling the truth since him and Finlay and Taker have good ring chemistry. Seriously needs to shake it up and stop whining so damn much for a face champ.
