I am personally disgusted that four supposed "wrestling proffesional" have gotten together to do a book about Benoit.
IMHO a book on Benoit and the recent tragedy is disgusting, immoral and wrong. The families are still recovering--it just happened a few months ago after all and to do a book on it so soon afterward-with "interviews" of the families is.....is.......just sick. Maybe if the book had been done 30 years after the Benoit ordeal then it would be a little different--it would be history--but it's still too recent and doing a book so soon ticks me off. No way will I read this book. They just should have waited IMHO.

basically they talk about something they haven't got the freakin' honest idea about--they are just making guesses and claims based on various other folks opinions but the only true way you can get get the real scoop is to ask Chris himself----and he's dead.

Is this really surprising? I mean people have capitalized on tragedy for hundreds of years. Hell, there was a Titanic film done a MONTH after it happened.

Honestly, I don't see this as a big deal. Books get written about this kind of stuff all the time.

The problem with the recently released Benoit book with the multiple writers is that they were in such a rush to get it out, it has virtually nothing about the brain damage he recieved from years of wrestling. This info came out a month or so after the deadline. So, you have this book that is supposed to examine the Benoit tragedy in great detail, but has nothing about what was probably one of the major factors in what happened.
Jeez, man that says it all. These guy's couldn't even wait 6 months or so till all the information came out.

I don't see what the big deal is. Let public ire be the judge if the book is factually incorrect. Besides, I think there's other current events out there I'd be more upset if they got their facts wrong.

So? If it were about whatever random murder went on a few months ago, I'd have no problem with it. So why should I be offended when it's a wrestler?

For what it's worth, I've known about this book since about 2 weeks after it happened. Here's a review from Online World of Wrestling

It's not so much that I think the content is bad (although the Benoit book, as noted, is missing vital information) I just can't bear the thought of putting another red cent in these guys pockets.
So, it was announced only 2 weeks after the murders? 2 weeks? I don't care if it's only to be expected, or everyone does it and it's the standard in journalism, that's smurfing appalling.

At least it's not one of those rushed TV movies with Joe Piscopo as Benoit and Meridith Baxter-Birney as Nancy.

Persoanlly, I'd actually be more disgusted listening to Benoit try to justify his actions.

If this is Muchnick's thing, then I'll more than likely pick it up.
