He was so well liked among wrestlers, a trainer, and an awesome heel. Smackdown would really be hurting if not for Finlay. He's a savvy veteran.

Shows how badly WCW used him, basically.

In WCW he played his role of heel of the TV title bunch really well.

Finlay has been tremendous since he returned as an active wrestler.
Amazingly he even managed to get a midget over.

Shows how badly WCW used him, basically. I don't think WCW misused him at all, he was getting PPV time right from the time he first debuted in 96, won the TV title, beat both Benoit and Booker.T during their feud. Still a midcarder to me, nothing wrong with that, just saying.

Respected huge from everyone, trained the Divas well so the E thought he would be the perfect veteran to come in and help young guys learn how to put a good match on. The gimmick caught on FAR more than they thought, so instead of just a prop for young guys he had became a prop, that everyone respects that also wins matches and feuds...

also, he got lashley over hugely last year. lash man probably wouldn't be as successful as he is without his great feud with finlay.

I agree, Lashley's work with Finlay was by far the best of his career.

Finlay is great deserves all the respect he gets IMO (love his music too) Regal does not have a bad word to say about him in his book and at GAB 06 Those 2 put on the best match of the night JBL was right to critisise the the fans reaction to the match

It's what happens when someone is given a chance to really show what they can do on a big stage. WCW never gave him the chance to be what he has shown us at the end of his career in the WWE

I've liked Finlay since the mid 80's when I watched him wrestle in the UK. He's a good wrestler and a good trainer too. His gimmick is perfect because he genuinely looks like a tough Irish Bastard and the best gimmicks are always just wrestlers being themselves. He's a solid midcarder and it's nice to see him getting the occasional push into the main event territory. Especially after he came back from an injury like he had.

Finlay is a really good wrestler, I don't think you can find someone on the current roster who understands the fundamentals as much as Finlay.
He and Lash were awesome, Lash def owes him credit.
I believe if Little bastard never debuted Finlay may have been higher on the card a lot earlier. Possibly contending for the title.

Maybe it's just me but it sounds pretty cool to be pushing 50 and being in the prime of your career.
It's a darn shame that WCW missed out on him.Because he was one of the last few "straight" wrestlers of his time, and could get a good match out of anyone. WWE has used him pretty well,he got Hornswoggle over and helped establish Lashley. Although he isn't world championship material,Smackdown wouldn't be the same without Finley. He keeps the show together.
