Batista has gottem much better at promo's lately, particularly last friday on Smackdown and Monday on raw. Unfortunetaly, if you do alot of things right and one thing wrong, everyone will just choose to acknowlege the wrong thing.

Batista has gottem much better at promo's lately, particularly last friday on Smackdown and Monday on raw. Unfortunetaly, if you do alot of things right and one thing wrong, everyone will just choose to acknowlege the wrong thing. Over and over agoain.... I have to disagree with Monday's promo. He came across as slow and plodding, plus it seemed much more forced than it ever should have been. If creative wants the wrestlers to say things word for word, at least have Batista try it in front of them first to see if he can handle it. He seemed last night like he was searching for every.......single........word instead of just letting it flow out. |

As a matter of fact, I've never understood having one guy, or a small group of guys, writing all the promos for multiple people that are all suppossed to have vastly different personalities. It's like at first, they can use their own words, but then, once creative understands what words you like to use, they take your words and write stuff for you, and it's not your message anymore. Creative knows that Undertaker says "rest in peace", so what they'll do is have him go out there and say "I'm gonna beat your ass, rest in peace", and it sounds stupid. As far as Batista, everyone thinks that you have to be loud and colorfull to have charisma. But, you can also be dark and silent and have charisma. Why take someone who has dark and silent charisma and try to make them the loud and colorfull charismatic type? When Batista isn't yelling, and he's just talking with few words and is looking around intensely, that's when he's at his most charismatic. |
