So... how is this going?
Is HHH being punished backstage? Does he have nuCLEAR heat with the boys? Did he erhm.. poo in someones bag?
Is he being forced down to the level of Jeff Hardy, Snitsky, and Umaga? ( mid-card)
Or has HHH turned a new leaf, giving up the limelight mega push title runs, and has instead turned his focus to building future superstars, teaching the new talent how the erhm.. game is played?
Has... HHH decided to do what is right for the company - instead of using his branwashe... erhm, lovely wife Stephanie to book him as strong as possible, burying people left and right?
Choose....

It's rather obvious they are just keeping him away from Randy Orton until after the Royal Rumble so they can build to a Wrestlemania match.

He is just killing time until he somehow ends up in a Wrestlemania main event again and will take up multiple segments on Raw and try to make his program more important than the title picture like he always does.
I think he is just piggybacking off of Hardy because he is more over then he is at this point.

He's not being punished, and he's not helping anyone other than himself.
He's just stalling until mania time.

well, he would be helping the younger stars if he lost to them. honestly i don't think being moved from a main event feud to an upper midcard feud is that big of a deal.

Last summer he feuded with the Spirit Squad, who were midcarders at best and still had more air time then RVD, Edge, or Cena who were feuding over the world title.
I don't think HHH minds not being in the title picture as long as he is still the focus of the show. So I think what I am saying is:
-This is not a midcard feud
-I really doubt he is going to try and elevate anyone other than himself

He's just sitting back until the spotlight goes back on him when he wins the Royal Rumble and goes on his way to Mania and winning the title back.
I dont think hes "dropped" much. I mean, he beat the shit out of 2 "unstopable" monsters by himself tonight, without them so much as landing a single punch on him.

It's wrestling.....
.... Triple H is facing Umaga/Snitsky for some reason. In a few months he'll be doing something else for some other reason and it'll be like Umaga/Snitsky never happened.
I remember reading (long before I was posting on here) about how everyone seemed to complain because main event level guys seem to only face off for the title. (ie: the rotating wheel of John Cena opponents) and never for any other reason.
Well now we've got four guys squaring off with no real title implications in sight (despite the fact that Jeff is the IC champion) for no other real reason than they hate one another. Personally I'm enjoying it. I hope Hardy is given a (credible) WWE Title Run because of this.

I really don't think Triple H is capable of being pushed down the ladder or having heat with anyone. Anyone who has a problem with him had best keep their thoughts to themselves because we have seen over the years that who ever criticizes him is run out of the company on a rail. Everyone in the locker room on both shows could have heat with him and it wouldnt matter because they are all expendable and he is not, at least in the few of the heiarchy within the WWE. So why does he have a lower profile on Raw right now? Well, he is a smart man. Right now it is football season and since the end of the Monday Night War, that has been a down time for Raw. So after the new year, he and his supporters can point out that ratings have been down since Triple H has not been so highly profile. That way, he can ride in on his white house and save Raw from poor ratings right before the peak of the wrestling season, wrestlemania, a time in which ratings will pop either way. There is no way he is working with midcard guys to help them out. If anything, he is working with them to make them look bad. He can come out and say of Hardy or whoever, see they couldnt even draw when they worked with me, their no good, fire them. And that, my friends, is how WWE works.

I'll take a little of column a and a little of column b. HHH isn't as bad as people think he is and he isn't as great as he probably thinks he is.

Of course he isn't being punished.
Anyone who says he has suddenly 'changed his ways' from allowing his wife to book him like an unstoppable force (grow up ffs btw) is obviously forgetting the fact that he hasn't properly held the title for more than 2 years - excluding No Mercy which was exceptional circumstances because of Cena's injury.
He has always acknowledged that when he is no longer the top star on the brand he will be helping younger talent. I like what he is doing with Jeff, it makes Jeff look good having respect from a guy like HHH on screen. I hope they develope the friendship, and maybe give Jeff a filler title match at the Royal Rumble.

NOT.

Geez...
Triple H has being "dignifying" midcarders with a program against the most prominent character of this decade, and we're still there complaining about politics, backstage pull and whatnot.
Triple H's last "actual" title match was at WM22 against Cena, and he tapped AGAIN in the middle of the ring (3rd defeat in a row). Then he just kicked back and enjoyed his run as D-X 2006, before the program with Rated RKO and the injury.
Oh, and he gave a bit of credibility to Orton's title reign, btw.
Around here we live with the odd idea that "putting sb over = losing to him", but that's not always the case, especially if it's a Big Name versus a not-so-Big-name. The mere fact of FEUDING with a Superstar like Triple H, is a bit of a push itself. Did the Spirit Squad have something better going for them, before or after DX? No...
When was it the last time Snitsky did something remotely remarkable? The baby punting, and the poem at Lita's wedding...
Got my drift?
So, Triple H won't be on Heat anytime soon, and will still get consistent TV time, and, ffs, rightfully so!
And whatever reason is behind his "alliance" with Jeff Hardy, it's still a hell of a chance for Jeff...

i totally understand you don't have to lose to someone clean to put them over, but if you hardly EVER do it, it does get annoying.

Maybe Trips wants to view some landscape perhaps, as in fight some lower-carders?

I'm just guessing, but I think Triple H is hanging with Jeff Hardy so he can go Orndorf on him. He doesn't have much more to do as a babyface. It's getting a little stale. If he's going to turn, it'd be boring for him to turn on Shawn Michaels for the 8th time. Aside from Shawn (and now Jericho), the next most popular guy is Jeff Hardy. As we saw from the Londrik thing a few months ago, the crowd is not going to boo him if he Pedigrees anyone other than Jeff Hardy.
