- The Elimination Chamber is being brought back for the No Way Out pay-per-view in February. The storyline heading into WrestleMania is that the winner of the Royal Rumble will get to decide the champion he wants to face at WrestleMania. Then, the unselected champion will have its brand's top wrestlers go into an the Elimination Chamber. The winner of that match will get the other title shot at WrestleMania.

I'm sure they're just forgetting ECW exists. Or it will be some kind of co-brand SmackDown/ECW Elimination Chamber.

So how will this work with 3 champs or are WWE just forgetting that ECW exists? AHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHA....someone wanting to go threw the chamber match to get a title shot....AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA Sorry, but funaki(sp?) could walk on to ECW and get a shot at the belt. |

On Raw the possibilities could be- HHH, Jericho, Orton, Michaels, Umaga, Kennedy, Flair?
On Smackdown- Undertaker, Edge, Batista, Mysterio, Kane, Henry, Kahli, MVP?
I would rather see a Raw one, and it all depends who is the champion at the time.
I say Edge wins the rumble and Raw does the chamber.

I would imagine they are going to have a rigging over the ring for lights, mics and pyro (maybe a covering if it rains) so they could just hang it from there. |

The top two matches are really tough in Kayfabe because the ultimate prize in wrestling is headlining Wrestlemania 1 on 1 for a world title. nd by winning one of the two very difficult matches, you are deserving of the top prize in wrestling. |

Plus, being in a Mania Main Event is supposed to be the pinnacle of the business. So it makes sense in that there would be 6 guys willing to put their body through hell in order to be willing to grab that one spot to challenge the Champion at "The Showcase of the immortals". In my view, it wouldn't make Main Eventing Wrestlemania as special if you could have 6 guys in the title match. You are spot on though that those gimmick matches are usually used to sell the "B" PPV's, and they can sell Mania simply on the name and big time one on one matches with good buildup. |
