I'm talking Hannibal Lecter, Kaiser Souze, or the villain in the new film No Country For Old Men.
I've always felt WWE needed a genuinely frightening array of badguys, along the lines of the Batman villains, but much less silly. Orton comes vaguelly close, but he's made to look like a putz constantly. Triple H's heel cruelty was fueled only by ego and desperation.
I've always had my idea for a finisher collector, an obsessive compulsive with a deep seated and dangerous fixation on what he considers a worthy pursuit. I've made him in every wrestling game I've played.
So what's your idea for a gimmick along these lines? Get creative.

A manipulator, Jim Jones or Hitler type of dictator who appears on the outside to be helping others , but is really looking for his own personal gain and manipulates and uses others to get what he wants and has inferiority complex. A more subtle type of heel, someone that doesnt come acrossed as a downright heel but it turns that he really is though using others.

yea someone like Raven I guess. Maybe even more downright sinister than Raven and that doesnt come acrossed as a cult leader but really is one. I dunno, something too complex for the wrestling business. At least for the current writers to think up of one

Mankind got real close. You knew a man who tore his hair out in chunks without flinching and cried for mama as he tore you apart was the last man you wanted to be in the ring with.

They have it in Boogeyman. If they would turn him into a serious heal that came around every few weeks and really did do heelish stuff, the kiddies would be pissing themselves for days after witnessing it. Imagine how much behind Cena the 7-9 year old demo would be if Boogey was heal and feuded with Cena.... It might garner Cena's biggest reaction ever!

Has there ever been a non-gimmicky heel who just beat people without cheating, and was very violent about it?

Randy hasn't been winning much lately.

Has there ever been a non-gimmicky heel who just beat people without cheating, and was very violent about it? King Kong Bundy comes close. But he was more of a fat asshole, who bragged that he knocked out someone so bad that it takes a five-count to prove his point. I can't really imagine a non-gimmicked wrestler who just plain kicked ass. Edit: I forgot about the short-lived Nailz.

Jake Roberts I thought was the epitomy of what a heel should of been. His run as a heel in 86 and 91 was great. He should fo had a run at WC during one of those years.

I don' think you can do many truly scary heels anymore. But if I had to give it a shot, I would create someone who is quite disturbed, say, perhaps a guy who used to live in a mental institution, and is fine when he's on his meds; almost child like (but not ultra-annoying or retarted like Eugene or Norman the Lunatic), but when he's off of them, he's the most destructive force in the ring who thinks his opponents are trying to destroy him.

Although, Roberts was primarily a babyface throughout his WWF career and spent his time stalking main event heels that once battled Hogan. But no one here would disagree with you on the the Savage feud, everything was perfectly in place.

True, the guy could seriously be the Anti-'Taker, if booked correctly. I think Vince is really wasting a great character here.

My character would be based on him. Cutting people's heads off and everything too.

Brock Lesner was a great heel. The dude looked like something a dragon had fathered.
