I did enjoy the "what were you expecting, black leather?" line. That said, X-men '97 shold adopt Sonic the Hedgehog as their mascot because of how quickly they're trying to speed run decades of X-men stories. It's a TV show. They're the comics. Yeah I know what happens if someone tries to adapt something TOO fast...sup, Parallax? Double sup, Raimi Black Costume Saga? But it hasn;'t hurt my enjoyment of the series, and I do so enjoy it. /Sonic? If I didn't know about the fan project, I'd be down for a Sonic '96 series too. //Yeah, another company altogether. This same show gave 5 episodes to the Phoenix saga and 4 episodes to the dark Phoenix saga.in the same amount of time, X-men '97 has blazed through something like 7 major storylines.

I have a very slight underbite. Because of this I can't bite open mr freezies. I have to get scissors. As a kid, that was quite annoying. Actually an underbite also makes eating certain foods without making a mess a trial.

I feel like labeling Lawler as “the puppies guy,” is a bit of a gross exaggeration. Sure he really wasn’t good in the PG era, but in the ruthless agression era, he still had a lot of game left imo. I liked his role as a tweener Evolution fanboy, but had his limits of what he supported. I wasn't watching when Evolution were around, but I am genuinely surprised to hear he had limits. In the attitude era he was such a sychophantic suck up that even swifties would probably tell him to dial it back a notch. I suspect he was told to pull back in ruthless aggression because during the attitude era, he really was the "puppies" guy.

Man, filming with that many children must have been a nightmare.

It's crazy how different she looks in her twitter photos from when she's on NXT.

Superman doesn't even need boots. Or any clothes for that matter. He should fly everywhere naked with his super wiener just flappin in the wind. Been there, done that, knew Snyder was trouble long before DCEU because of it. /though Watchmen wasn't bad... The main issue was that he completely didn't understand the book and got the ending entirely wrong. Apart from that it was decent.

We've already seen a giant spider, what else is there? Clearly Superman fighting the giant spider in the third act.

Driving is actually fairly complex. Once you've been driving long enough to get used to it, it doesn't seem like a big thing, but there is a lot to keep track of while driving.
My writing is legible but not neat. Probably cause I'm so left handed.
I can skate, I just can't stop. Add me to the Canadians hiding in shame.

Had a near miss at work today that potentially could have cost me a hand or at least some fingers. I'm fine, no injury.
General frustration at work. New owners, looking for a massive return on investment have the managers all on edge and us running bare minimum crewing which is going to start causing problems sooner than later.
This week can eat a bag of dicks. Thankfully I'm done work for a couple days.
However, now I gotta get my car serviced and finally get my winter tires switched off. That's gonna cost me a pretty penny. Bag of dicks for this day in particular.
Edited to add, gonna have to replace my brakes as well. So my costly car work just tripled. F this week.

Nah she still sucks. Just because she is no longer hurting everyone she faces, it's a case of saying dry shit is better than runny shit. To be fair, dry shit is better than runny shit.

Not gonna lie, I saw this thread and popped in to see the potential car crash. It does seem that this run has turned a lot of people around on her. I don't think she's injured anyone on this run yet? That alone makes this her most successful run ever. She will potentially be able to make Bianca and Jade look more like superheroes so that's something. I think we can all be happy that she's not on the same show as Kairi.

Having a sword would definitely make it safer to get to your car after the show. We all know how dangerous that lot is. If the Parking Lot sees that everybody has a sword, it will up it's game. Right now it's been holding back, do you want to see what would happen if it stopped holing back? The part of me that wants to see the world burn says yes. Muahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

I like that she has a sword and kicks new yorkers. I think everyone should have a sword backstage at NXT. I think if you don’t walk around with a sword backstage, you’re not realizing your full potential. Having a sword would definitely make it safer to get to your car after the show. We all know how dangerous that lot is.

While I know that there are people who pursue careers because of a passion of one sort or another, I do think that for many people the statement is true. I'm 40, grew up in a family where money was tight enough that sometimes my parents had to decide which bill to pay because there was no way they could afford to pay them all. More than once my parents had to go to the food bank despite both being hard working. Now, it could have been much worse, we always had a roof over our head and we may not have had a lot but we had enough to get by and I even got the occasional toy or video game. However, that experience with scarcity affected my outlook in ways I didn't understand until my 30s.
Then I finished university. At that point I had to go out into the real world. I owed tens of thousands of dollars in student debt (I do realize and appreciate that compared to those of you in the u.s. that's not too bad but it had a huge impact on my decisions). Just as I was running out of money I took a job at a factory, I told myself it was just for now so I could pay my bills. Then the 2008 recession started just a couple of months later. Fortunately, the factory I work made cheap products and a recession was good for business. A decade later there was another recession followed by covid. I'm still at this factory, I worked steadily through covid because it was considered essential. In fact, Covid was one of the busiest and most stressful times for me professionally as I had just become a supervisor in September 2019. I will tell you this, supervising during a pandemic? I would not wish that on anyone.
All of this is a lot of preamble to say, I never had any interest in this. I come from a blue collar family and I respect the heck out of blue collar workers. However, I never had any interest in a blue collar job. I took this job purely for money and turned it into a career because it ended up being incredibly stable. However, I've worked off shifts for most of my adult life and it took me a long time to realize how much I was falling out of touch with friends because of it. Now as a night shift supervisor working over 50 hours a week, often over 60, I barely see friends unless I specifically use vacation time to do so. If someone handed me a million dollars, I can guarantee I would not be doing this job. I would definitely be doing some kind of work even if I was really rich, partly to get myself out of the house and stay sane. However, many of the decision I've made as an adult have been purely based on financial security. I'm not saying that I chose the right path, I often thing I didn't. However, I know I'm not the only one who chose stability/money over passion.

The saddest part with all the netflix shows was that Iron Fist season one was such hot trash that it took me months to get around to season two which was actually pretty good. What made it worse was the direction it seemed to be going at the end of season 2 and then Netflix started cancelling everything. No season 3 Iron Fist.
Also, I really wanted a season of Luke Cage that ended on a high note.

Lawler sucked so bad as a commentator from the mid to late 2000s that rewatching some of those matches annoys me. Just phoning it in. Mid to late 2000's? That's being INCREDIBLY generous in my opinion. I thought he went to shit late 98 into 99 when his whole gimmick just became "PUPPIES!!PUPPIES!!PUPPIES!!" which was a pretty bad look anyone but especially for someone credibly accused of statutory rape. I was so happy when Heyman replaced him in 2001, and just crushed when he came back that November. EDIT: Just gonna add this link deadspin.com/jerry-lawler-wrote-a-really-dumb-letter-to-prosecutors-1822790447I knew he was a piece of crap but damn that really drove it home.
I never cared for Lawler as my main memory of him was screaming about puppies. The rest of the time he was over the top in his praise for the heels and I've never been super into heel announcers. He was particularly obnoxious. In the case of him no longer being an announcer/personality I say 'and nothing of value was lost'.
