Fried chicken. At home, I remember lunch. A chicken leg and rice, plus ketchup. Kitchen and dining room was at the entrance of the house. I have a vague recollection on how the chicken leg looked; basically how my mom cooks it if she's just using salt or fish sauce. Delicious. Even after all these years, it's how I like my fried chicken seasoned.

Mmmmm. Vinland Saga's new OP. Noice. Toit. And, spoilers. Spoiler, spoiler, spoiler, do not read spoilered text if you don't want spoilers. Do not. {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Just reading up on discussions on the anime on how Thorfinn will have to be back in the battlefield, more or less forced to in the upcoming trouble. I'm gonna enjoy the realization for others that he really will not fight back during the fight on the farm.
Like, I get it. Expected the same thing when I read the manga, but him taking the 100 blows and his answer to Canute was so satisfying. And I'll be able to enjoy seeing it through the discussions of those who are going in it blind.

With regards to Rocky, here in the Philippines I recall a sort of parody of it where the plot was an average guy finds a pair of boxing gloves owned by Rocky, which somehow manages to make him become a great boxer.
Was really young when I saw it on TV, so I'm not sure if I'm being accurate or my memory is filling in the blanks of what I remember. At the very least, I think the plot was like that. Might ask in Filipino reddit areas about it, because a lot of movies here don't have a lot of info online.

Dwarf Fortress is not that difficult. A lot in the fandom tend to hype up the steep learning curve the game has, but it's generally a matter of patience. Plus, the UI certainly makes things more daunting, but for most part that isn't an issue anymore especially with the arrival of the Steam version.
You aren't gonna get it right, or go far in your first run. Learn one thing at a time, then another and another and eventually you'll figure out how to do all of them efficiently.

Don't mind the difficulty of Dark Souls, Sekiro, and Elden Ring plus other similar games.
On the other hand, don't really like the gloomy/dark feel of those games. I'd want something with a lighter atmosphere and something zany, but still difficult. Just because it's dark doesn't mean it's engrossing.

Don't know the exact details, but I recall reading about a match in my country where a guy decided to do some sort of unplanned spot where he dove into an opponent after covering himself on lighter fluid and setting himself on fire.
The guy crashed and burned, literally and figuratively.

For starters, yes on Vinland Saga. I've read the manga, so while I can't enjoy experiencing it blind, I do love lurking elsewhere and seeing how people react to it.
Now going in blind to another, I'm massively enjoying Campfire Cooking in Another World. Not a big fan of isekai when it's too dark or there's heavy emphasis on story. Love stuff like these, just relaxing slice of life stuff when it comes to food. One other reason why I like Restaurant to Another World. Maybe it's the food. The meals made aren't too fancy that I don't understand it, so it's more relatable to my stomach compared to something like Shokugeki no Soma.
Plus, Sui. Praise to Sui.

Personally, I don't like the concept of this thread. Just opens up the opportunity to say, "well, I don't like X posters' attitude and quietly get likes in support and more importantly does nothing but potentially alienate people further. PMs are a thing. Maybe take a breath, wait a bit and PM and then discuss it privately. This just feels like an opportunity to semi-anonymously dunk on people without naming names. Not what the OP aims to do, but certainly opens up that for posters.

Quite a bit. Quite a big lot when I take into consideration that I got a medical condition that has affected my physical body over the years, making it even harder to want to be seen by people. Hell, I don't even like looking at myself in the mirror to remind me of how screwed up my body has gotten.

Revisited a few games on the PS2.
2. Wild Arms 3. Pretty solid, and graphics-wise it holds up pretty well and kinda fits the atmosphere of the game.
3. GTA San Andreas. The original PS2 one, not the remake. Way back when I beat it I used cheats, so I beat it now without it. After playing GTA 4 earlier in the year gotta say that moving around San Andreas was a bit more iffy. Plus I just used a cheap controller I bought online, and weapons that manual aim moved to fast to actually shoot most of the time.
4. Tales of Destiny remake. Played and beat the PS1 version, and I saw an English patch for the remake so I figured I might as well try. Gotta say that the 3D graphics of the PS2 remake aged a lot worse than the not-3d of the PS1 version. It just feels like the world and towns in the PS2 version feel smaller. Much like the PS1 version, the areas in the midgame suffered from a lot of same-ness in aesthetic, aside from puzzles.
Gameplay was okay. Did a bit of grinding to breeze through most of the game, but some bosses still provided quite a bit of difficulty despite having endgame equipment.

Damn, people still talking about that thread?
I've had my fun on that thread, but this goes beyond beating a dead horse. We found a big dead horse, beat it to the ground and more. There's no more horse, yet people seem to persist in beating the ground now expecting to unearth a new dead horse on the same spot.
Decision has been made, live with it.

I wish a lot of my favorite old-school games weren't so obscure. There are times it feels like I'm the only person in the world who owns 'Vanguard Bandits', 'Saiyuki: Journey West', 'Azure Dreams' or 'Thousand Arms' on the Playstation. I had 3 out of 4 of those games. Playing them was a ton of fun.

The anime Gatekeepers, as I recall. Main character ends up with the childhood friend in the last episode (or at least heavily hinted to be the case). Much later on a sequel is made, which has the daughter of the main character of the previous series, and it's later revelead that the mother isn't the childhood friend.

The only way I’d eat a double down is with a side order of a bun to make it a sandwich. No. Get a biscuit. And another biscuit. No. Rice. The Asian way. Bonus points if you drown rice in gravy.

Lita and Shayna would be 2 sloths trying to move underwater. Apparently a sloth can swim faster than them walking.

Well, it's Lent so no meat on Fridays. On that regard, McDo here always brings back their fish and fries meal during this time. Gotta love that crispy fish fillet and tartar sauce. Growing up in a seafood family and one that was Catholic on one side I was use to no meat ever on Fridays. The last 20 years I was pretty much the only one every sticking to no meat on Fridays during Lent, and I am the least religious member of the family. For me it is an excuse to go either out to eat seafood or cooking some fish from the lake. Last Friday was about 12 white perch caught over the week from Hurricanrana Lake. The years I didn't live on a lake Friday was either go out to eat at this Korean place we found or Popeyes fish or shrimp basket. Shocking decent shrimp for a fast food place. Spent part of the pleasant evening out on the back porch. Maggie was running around attempting ot catch a chipmunk. The chipmunks and squirrels learned years ago Maggie isn't smart enough or fast enough to catch them. So unless she gets closer than 2 feet from one they kind of ignore her. Read through a stack of comics, watched some local indie stuff from the past few weekends. Not bad. Fish in general is real nice. One day I'd love to try fishing, not really accessible where I live but one day I'd wanna cross that off the bucket list. We got some good fish here. Alas, some are endangered, such as the tawilis, the only freshwater sardine in the world that's located here. Saw a few pagi in the wet market once or twice, which is a type of stingray. Took a trip to the wetmarket today, and got me some espada, or beltfish. Good eating. Fried, outside is nice and crispy while the meat is very soft and tasty. That's for dinner. Lunch was sapsap/slipmouth. Cooked as a sour stew: sinigang/pangat. Very energizing. Spent the afternoon relaxing with my four cats, and three of those four actually let me put them in my lap.

Night right now. The mouse for my PC ain't working, so I used a replacement mouse. Problem is that the replacement mouse is smaller than what I'm used to, so I'm getting really irked as it just doesn't feel right.
